Abstract
Fenomena globalisasi dan perkembangan media sosial membuat budaya luar, termasuk makanan modern dan instan, semakin diminati oleh generasi muda. Kondisi ini berpotensi menurunkan minat memasak makanan tradisional Indonesia, terutama di kalangan mahasiswa. Padahal, memasak merupakan kompetensi penting yang sejalan dengan bidang keilmuan Manajemen Industri Katering. Salah satu media yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini adalah YouTube, yang kini menjadi sumber pembelajaran populer di bidang kuliner. Akun YouTube @devinahermawan menjadi salah satu rujukan utama karena menghadirkan konten resep yang praktis, menarik, dan edukatif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari media sosial YouTube akun @devinahermawan terhadap minat memasak makanan Indonesia di kalangan Mahasiswa Manajemen Industri Katering, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan verifikatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 100 responden Mahasiswa Manajemen Industri Katering, pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling melalui kuisioner. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan media sosial YouTube di kalangan Mahasiswa Manajemen Industri Katering dalam kategori yang “tinggi”. Media Sosial YouTube berpengaruh terhadap Minat Memasak Makanan Indonesia sebesar 38,9%. Diharapkan bisa memanfaatkan media sosial menjadi sarana untuk peningkatan inspirasi maupun sebagai peningkatan minat memasak. The phenomenon of globalization and the development of social media has made outdoor culture, including modern and instant food, increasingly in demand by the younger generation. This condition has the potential to reduce interest in cooking traditional Indonesian food, especially among students. In fact, cooking is an important competency that is in line with the scientific field of Catering Industry Management. One of the media that can be used to overcome this problem is YouTube, which is now a popular learning resource in the culinary field. The YouTube account @devinahermawan become one of the main references because it presents practical, interesting, and educational recipe content. The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of the @devinahermawan account's YouTube social media on the interest in cooking Indonesian food among Catering Industry Management Students, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. This research uses a type of quantitative research with descriptive and verifiable methods. The sample in this study amounted to 100 respondents of Catering Industry Management Students, sampling using a simple random sampling technique through a questionnaire. The results of the study show that YouTube social media among Catering Industry Management Students is in the "high" category. YouTube Social Media has an effect on Indonesian Food Cooking Interest by 38.9%. It is hoped that it can use social media as a means to increase inspiration and as an increase in interest in cooking.
