Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum adanya model pembelajaran literasi kewarganegaraan yang secara khusus dirancang untuk konteks Pendidikan nonformal seperti taman baca masyarakat (TBM). Kegiatan literasi di TBM umumnya masih terbatas pada kemampuan baca-tulis dasar, belum menyentuh aspek pembentukan karakter warga negara yang sadar hak dan kewajiban. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model pembelajaran yang menyederhanakan model CTL dan PBL menjadi model SOFI (Story, Observe, Follow, Involve), sebuah model pembelajaran literasi kewarganegaraan yang kontekstual, pasrtisipatif, dan menyenangkan bagi anak usia sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Design Based Research (DBR) yang melibatkan empat tahapan: (1) analisis kebutuhan, (2) desain prototipe model, (3) validasi ahli, dan (4) uji coba terbatas. Subjek utama penelitian adalah fasilitator taman baca masyarakat di wilayah kota dan kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, angket dan kajian dokumen program TBM, lalu dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa model SOFI membantu pengelola TBM dalam merancang dan melaksanakan kegiatan literasi yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai kewarganegaraan. Model ini terbukti meningkatkan keterlibatan anak dalam diskusi, kegiatan kolaboratif, dan pemahaman terhadap hak dan kewajiban sebagai warga negara. Secara teoritis model ini berkontribusi sebagai inovasi pembelajaran literasi kewarganegaraan di ranah Pendidikan nonformal yang selama ini belum banyak dikembangkan. This research was motivated by the lack of a civic literacy learning model specifically designed for non-formal education contexts such as community reading parks (TBM). Literacy activities in TBMs are generally limited to basic reading and writing skills and do not touch on the aspect of character building for citizens who are aware of their rights and obligations. Therefore, this study aims to develop a learning model that simplifies the CTL and PBL models into the SOFI (Story, Observe, Follow, Involve) model, a contextual, participatory, and enjoyable civic literacy learning model for elementary school children. The study used a qualitative approach with the Design Based Research (DBR) method, which involved four stages: (1) needs analysis, (2) prototype model design, (3) expert validation, and (4) limited testing. The main subjects of the study were community reading park facilitators in the city and regency of Tasikmalaya. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and document review of the TBM program, then analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. The results of the study show that the SOFI model helps TBM managers in designing and implementing literacy activities that integrate civic values. This model has been proven to increase children's involvement in discussions, collaborative activities, and understanding of their rights and obligations as citizens. Theoretically, this model contributes to innovation in civic literacy learning in the realm of non-formal education, which has not been widely developed.
