Abstract

Sebagai kawasan yang ditetapkan menjadi kawasan TOD Kota, Blok M belum sepenuhnya memenuhi kriteria tersebut. Bahkan, Terminal Bus Blok M, sebagai salah satu generator utama kawasan TOD, mengalami penurunan kualitas dan standar pelayanan, seperti ketersediaan fasilitas yang tidak memenuhi standar, pembagian jalur bus dan peron yang kurang efektif, melemahnya identitas bangunan, dan kurang terintegrasi dengan kawasan di sekitarnya. Oleh karena itu, Terminal Bus Blok M dirancang ulang untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanannya melalui proses transformasi dan adaptasi, yaitu dengan menambahkan fungsi sebagai Blok M Hub atau konektor kawasan sekitar. Selain itu, untuk menciptakan identitas bangunan, Terminal Bus Blok M dirancang dengan menggunakan pendekatan visual yang selaras dengan karakteristik bangunan cagar budaya di sekitarnya, yaitu arsitektur jengki. Arsitektur jengki merupakan gaya arsitektur asli Indonesia yang pertama kali digunakan pada kawasan Kebayoran Baru. Oleh karena itu, perancangan ulang Terminal Bus Blok M dengan konsep arsitektur jengki ini dapat menjadi identitas kawasan sejarah Kebayoran Baru. Proses perancangan dimulai dari pengumpulan dan analisis data, pembuatan konsep, hingga pengembangan desain. Terminal Bus Blok M dirancang tidak hanya untuk mewadahi kegiatan transportasi, tetapi juga mewadahi berbagai kegiatan urban dan menciptakan konektivitas dengan lingkungan sekitar. Selain itu, Terminal Bus Blok M juga mendorong terwujudnya kawasan yang berkelanjutan dan memenuhi kebutuhan ruang terbuka hijau pada kawasan tersebut. As an area designated as a TOD area in the city, Blok M has not fully met these criteria. In fact, the Blok M Bus Terminal, as one of the main generators of the TOD area, has experienced a decline in service quality and standards, such as the availability of facilities that do not meet standards, ineffective bus lane and platform allocation, weakened building identity, and lack of integration with the surrounding area. Therefore, the Blok M Bus Terminal was redesigned to improve its service quality through a process of transformation and adaptation, namely by adding a function as a Blok M Hub or connector for the surrounding area. In addition, to create a building identity, the Blok M Bus Terminal was designed using a visual approach that is in harmony with the characteristics of the surrounding cultural heritage buildings, namely jengki architecture. Jengki architecture is an original Indonesian architectural style that was first used in the Kebayoran Baru area. Therefore, the redesign of the Blok M Bus Terminal with the jengki architectural concept can become the identity of the Kebayoran Baru historical area. The design process began with data collection and analysis, concept creation, and design development. The Blok M Bus Terminal was designed not only to accommodate transportation activities, but also to accommodate various urban activities and create connectivity with the surrounding environment. In addition, the Blok M Bus Terminal also encourages the realization of a sustainable area and fulfills the need for green open space in the area.
