Abstract
Indonesia masih menghadapi tantangan dalam penyediaan pendidikan inklusif bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK), khususnya anak dengan disabilitas fisik (tunadaksa). Kota Bandung, sebagai salah satu kota dengan populasi tinggi, memiliki keterbatasan dalam jumlah dan kualitas Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB), terutama SLB tipe D yang diperuntukkan bagi tunadaksa. Kondisi ini menyebabkan banyak anak tunadaksa belum mendapatkan fasilitas pendidikan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan mereka. Perancangan SLB-D berbasis arsitektur responsif menjadi solusi dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inklusif, adaptif, dan ramah disabilitas. Konsep ini mengintegrasikan desain universal dan responsivitas lingkungan untuk mengoptimalkan aksesibilitas, fleksibilitas ruang, serta kenyamanan pengguna. Melalui pendekatan analisis data primer dan sekunder, studi preseden, serta kajian literatur, perancangan ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan SLB-D yang dapat merespon kebutuhan dan perilaku tunadaksa secara fungsional dan psikologis. Implementasi arsitektur responsif dalam SLB-D diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan inklusif di Kota Bandung serta memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih memberdayakan bagi anak-anak tunadaksa. Indonesia continues to face challenges in providing inclusive education for children with special needs (ABK), particularly those with physical disabilities (tunadaksa). Bandung, as one of the country's densely populated cities, has limited facilities and the availability of Special Needs Schools (SLB), especially SLB Type D, which serves children with physical disabilities. This situation results in many tunadaksa children lacking access to appropriate educational facilities. The design of an SLB- D based on responsive architecture offers a solution to creating a learning environment that is inclusive, adaptive, and disability-friendly. This concept integrates universal design and environmental responsiveness to optimize accessibility, spatial flexibility, and user comfort. Through primary and secondary data analysis, precedent studies, and literature reviews, this study aims to develop an SLB-D that accommodates the functional and psychological needs of tunadaksa students. The implementation of responsive architecture in SLB-D is expected to enhance the quality of inclusive education in Bandung and provide an empowering learning experience for children with physical disabilities.
