Abstract
Peran bahasa Inggris sangat penting sebagai bahasa internasional yang mendukung kemampuan partisipasi peserta didik di tingkat global di era globalisasi ini, Untuk mempersiapkan peserta didik menghadapi tantangan tersebut, pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di sekolah harus didukung oleh fasilitas yang memadai, salah satunya adalah media pembelajaran yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran game edukasi berbasis Wordwall sebagai sarana untuk memfasilitasi pembelajaran bahasa Inggris pada peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) berdasarkan model ADDIE yang meliputi lima tahap, yakni analisis, perencanaan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi, penilaian ahli, serta angket pengguna yang terdiri dari pendidik dan peserta didik, kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil pengembangan media pembelajaran ini menunjukkan bahwa media game edukasi berbasis Wordwall telah dinilai “sangat layak” oleh para ahli. Ahli media dengan nilai 92,72%, ahli materi dengan nilai 90,00%, ahli pedagogik dengan nilai 91,11. Uji coba yang dilakukan dalam dua tahap melibatkan peserta didik dan pendidik dengan hasil rata-rata nilai sebesar 87,04%. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran tersebut mampu meningkatkan partisipasi dan keterlibatan peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran game edukasi berbasis Wordwall layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris kelas IV sekolah dasar. The role of English is very important as an international language that supports the ability of learners' participation at the global level in this era of globalization. To prepare students to face these challenges, English learning in schools must be supported by adequate facilities, one of which is effective learning media. This research aims to develop educational game learning media based on Wordwall as a means to facilitate English language learning in grade IV elementary school students. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) based on the ADDIE model which includes five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through interviews, observations, document studies, expert assessments, and user questionnaires consisting of educators and students, then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of this learning media development show that Wordwall-based educational game media has been rated “very feasible” by experts. Media experts with a value of 92.72%, material experts with a value of 90.00%, pedagogical experts with a value of 91.11. The trial conducted in two stages involved students and educators with an average score of 87.04%. This study also found that the use of learning media was able to increase learners' participation and involvement during the English learning process. Thus, it can be concluded that the Wordwall-based educational game learning media is feasible and effective to use in learning English grade IV elementary school.
