    Abstract

    Bencana tanah longsor sering terjadi di Indonesia, termasuk di Kabupaten Tasikmalaya, sehingga penting menanamkan literasi bencana sejak dini. Model Project-Based Learning diyakini dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model Project-Based Learning terhadap tingkat literasi bencana tanah longsor pada siswa kelas V. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-experimental tipe nonequivalent control group. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa-siswi kelas V di dua SD di Kecamatan Sukahening, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa angket literasi bencana tanah longsor berdasarkan model literasi Brown dkk. (2014), yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini mencakup analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Dari hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata total literasi bencana kelas eksperimen meningkat dari 33,77 menjadi 52,60 dan nilai rata-rata total literasi bencana kelas kontrol meningkat dari 35,13 menjadi 46,53 setelah diberikan perlakuan. Hasil uji paired sample t-test di dua kelas juga menunjukkan perbedaan literasi bencana yang dibuktikan dengan nilai signifikansi sama-sama 0,00 < 0,05. Lebih lanjut, hasil N-gain juga menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen memperoleh rata-rata 0,52 (kategori sedang), sementara kelas kontrol 0,32 (kategori sedang). Selanjutnya, hasil uji independent sample t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,00 < 0,05, artinya terdapat perbedaan peningkatan literasi yang signifikan antara kedua kelas. Dengan demikian, penerapan Project-Based Learning terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi bencana tanah longsor siswa kelas V. Landslides frequently occur in Indonesia, including in Tasikmalaya Regency, making it important to foster disaster literacy from an early age. The Project-Based Learning model is believed to enhance student engagement in the learning process. This study aims to examine the effect of the Project-Based Learning model on the level of landslide disaster literacy among fifth-grade students. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasiexperimental design of the nonequivalent control group type. The subjects of this study were fifth-grade students from two elementary schools in Sukahening District, Tasikmalaya Regency. The research instrument was a landslide disaster literacy questionnaire based on the literacy model of Brown et al. (2014), which had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis in this study included both descriptive and inferential analyses. The descriptive analysis results showed that the average total disaster literacy score of the experimental class increased from 33.77 to 52.60, while the control class increased from 35.13 to 46.53 after the treatment. The paired sample t-test results in both classes also indicated differences in disaster literacy, as evidenced by the significance value of 0.00 < 0.05. Furthermore, the N-gain results revealed that the experimental class achieved an average of 0.52 (medium category), while the control class achieved 0.32 (medium category). In addition, the independent sample t-test results showed a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05, meaning that there was a significant difference in the literacy improvement between the two classes. Thus, the implementation of Project-Based Learning was proven to be effective in improving landslide disaster literacy among fifth-grade students.
