    Abstract

    Permasalahan utama dalam manajemen persediaan di industri pertahanan adalah ketidaksesuaian antara data fisik di gudang dengan catatan dalam sistem, yang berpotensi mengganggu operasional dan akurasi laporan perusahaan. Kondisi ini juga dialami PT ABC, di mana hasil stock opname periode cut-off 31 September 2024 menunjukkan selisih signifikan antara jumlah persediaan fisik dan data dalam sistem SAP. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis akar penyebab ketidaksesuaian data serta merumuskan strategi perbaikan menggunakan metode DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control).Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan telaah dokumen. Analisis dilakukan dengan bantuan SIPOC Diagram, Histogram , dan Fishbone Diagram untuk mengidentifikasi titik kritis dan prioritas perbaikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor dominan penyebab ketidaksesuaian adalah keterlambatan input data ke sistem SAP sebanyak 7 kasus berdasarkan hasil dari histogram , disusul oleh kompetensi SDM, ketidakpatuhan SOP, keterbatasan teknologi, pengambilan material tanpa pencatatan real-time, serta benturan jadwal stock opname dengan produksi.Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dirumuskan tujuh strategi perbaikan, yaitu pelatihan teknis berkala, penambahan tenaga kerja, standarisasi SOP, integrasi SAP dengan barcode scanner, pelabelan material terstandar, input data real-time, serta penataan ulang tata letak dan jadwal stock opname. Implementasi strategi ini diharapkan mampu menurunkan selisih data, meningkatkan akurasi pencatatan, serta mendukung efisiensi rantai pasok secara berkelanjutan. Secara teoretis, penelitian ini memperkaya kajian manajemen persediaan berbasis Six Sigma, sedangkan secara praktis memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan sistem pengendalian persediaan di industri pertahanan. The main issue in inventory management within the defense industry lies in the discrepancy between the physical stock in warehouses and the records in the system, which has the potential to disrupt operations and undermine the accuracy of company reports. This condition is also experienced by PT ABC, where the stock opname results as of the cut-off date on September 31, 2024, revealed significant differences between the physical inventory and the data recorded in the SAP system. This study aims to analyze the root causes of these discrepancies and to formulate improvement strategies using the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). The research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document review. The analysis is supported by SIPOC Diagram, Histogram, and Fishbone Diagram to identify critical points and prioritize corrective actions. The findings indicate that the dominant factor causing discrepancies is delayed data entry into the SAP system, with seven cases recorded based on histogram analysis. Other contributing factors include employee competency gaps, non-compliance with SOPs, limited technology support, unrecorded material withdrawals in real time, and scheduling conflicts between stock opname and production activities. Based on these findings, seven improvement strategies are proposed: regular technical training, additional workforce allocation, SOP standardization, SAP integration with barcode scanners, standardized material labeling, real-time data entry, and restructuring of warehouse layout and stock opname schedules. The implementation of these strategies is expected to reduce data discrepancies, improve record accuracy, and enhance supply chain efficiency on a sustainable basis. Theoretically, this research contributes to the body of knowledge on inventory management within the framework of Six Sigma. Practically, it provides recommendations for strengthening inventory control systems in the defense industry.
