Abstract
Ana Ratnasari. 2025. Rancangan Kurikulum Pelatihan Literasi Membaca Menggunakan Kerangka Aktivitas Empat-I (4I) untuk Meningkatkan Self-efficacy Orang Tua. Reading Literacy Training Curriculum Design Using the Empat-I (4I) Activity Framework to Improve Parental Self-Efficacy. Efforts to improve reading literacy skills are one of the main targets in the national and global education agenda. The success of achieving this target requires the active involvement of families, especially parents. This research aims to describe important aspects in curriculum development, design and assess the feasibility and effectiveness of its implementation, as well as the dissemination of the reading literacy training curriculum. This research produced a framework 4I activities consisting of initiation, identification, intervention and investigation developed through conceptual synthesis of several literacy frameworks so as to form a strong and contextually relevant theoretical foundation to improve parental self-efficacy. This research uses the Design and Development Research (DDR) method with six main stages. Respondents in this study consisted of curriculum experts, literacy training facilitators, and parents who were participants in the curriculum trial. Data collection was carried out through interviews, FGDs and expert validation questionnaires, as well as self-efficacy tests before and after training. The data analysis techniques used include qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The results of the study show that the reading literacy training curriculum developed has a level of feasibility, effectiveness, and relevance. The success of the curriculum is supported by clear objectives, systematic materials, and supportive training methods and thorough evaluation that includes processes, outcomes and impacts. Training contributes to increasing the self-efficacy of parents in carrying out the role of literacy at home. The results of the dissemination show that this curriculum has the potential to be adapted and applied in various contexts of family literacy training. Through literacy training for parents using the 4I activity framework, it can support the improvement of reading literacy skills in families. Further research can explore the long-term impact as well as the application of this curriculum on a broader scale.
