Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah, jenis dan pengaruh industri terhadap tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakat dengan indikator kesejahteraan diantaranya pendapatan, pendidikan, kesehatan, perumahan serta lingkungan di Kecamatan Pagaden, Kabupaten Subang. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, dan jumlah populasi sebanyak 250. Teknik random sampling digunakan untuk memilih sampel yang mewakili populasi dengan jumlah sebanyak 75 orang. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah industri dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Untuk instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket, lembar observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini diantaranya uji normalitas, uji linearitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji regresi linear sederhana. Hasil yang didapatkan menunjukkan terdapat tiga industri di Kecamatan Pagaden dengan aktivitas yang berbeda, ketiga industri tersebut merupakan industri besar. Industri memberikan pengaruh terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat, sebesar 56% masyarakat beranggapan bahwa industri dapat membuka lapangan pekerjaan baru dan memberikan perubahan untuk lingkungan sekitarnya. Hasil analisis data regresi linear sederhana variabel X industri berpengaruh terhadap variabel Y kesejahteraan dengan koefisien positif, dimana apabila ada pergerakan dari variabel X maka variabel Y cenderung meningkat dan memiliki hubungan dan uji hipotesis menyatakan Ha diterima sebesar 46%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah keberadaan indsutri memberikan pengaruh yang baik terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat di Kecamatan Pagaden, Subang. This study aims to determine the number, types, and influence of industries on the level of community welfare, with welfare indicators including income, education, health, housing, and the environment in Pagaden District, Subang Regency. The research employs a descriptive method with a quantitative approach, involving a population of 250 people. A random sampling technique was used to select a representative sample of 75 respondents. The variables in this study are industry (independent variable) and community welfare (dependent variable). The research instruments include questionnaires, observation sheets, and documentation studies. Data analysis methods used in this study include normality test, linearity test, homogeneity tests, and simple linear regression analysis. The results show that there are three major industries operating in Pagaden District, each with different activities. These industries have a significant impact on community welfare. About 56% of respondents believe that the presence of industries creates new job opportunities and brings positive changes to the surrounding environment. The results of the simple linear regression analysis indicate that the independent variable (industry) positively influences the dependent variable (community welfare). When there is a change in the industrial variable, there is a corresponding increase in the welfare variable. Hypothesis testing reveals that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted with a significance level of 46%. In conclusion, the presence of industries has a positive impact on the welfare of the community in Pagaden District, Subang.
