Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media Canva terhadap kemampuan mengapresiasi puisi peserta didik sekolah dasar. Desain penelitian yang dipakai adalah praeksperimental, dengan memakai jenis one-group pratestposttest design. Sampel penelitian meliputi 44 peserta didik kelas V dari dua sekolah dasar yaitu sekolah dasar yang dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa soal ujian esai yang terdiri atas lima soal disertai rubrik penilaian adaptasi dari penelitian Nurgiyantoro (2016:277) hasil evaluasi apresiasi puisi. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menganalisis memakai uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji hipotesis Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test karena data tidak berdistribusi normal. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan adanya pengaruh signifikan sebesar 0,00 pada nilai apresiasi puisi setelah pembelajaran memakai media Canva. Berdasarkan hasil pascates memperlihatkan bahwa media Canva mampu memfasilitasi peserta didik dalam mengekspresikan pemahaman, tanggapan, dan apresiasi terhadap puisi dengan lebih baik serta mendorong keterlibatan aktif selama proses pembelajaran. Pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan media Canva dapat membantu peserta didik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengapresiasi dalam pembelajaran puisi. Temuan ini dapat dijadikan alternatif pada pembelajaran yang kreatif dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik di sekolah dasar. This study aims to determine the influence of Canva media on elementary school students’ ability to appreciate poetry. The research design used was preexperimental with a one-group pratest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 44 fifth-grade students from two elementary schools selected using cluster random sampling. The research instrument was an essay test consisting of five questions accompanied by an assessment rubric adapted from Nurgiyantoro (2016:277) on poetry appreciation evaluation. Data processing was carried out using the ShapiroWilk normality test. Subsequently, the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was employed as the data were not normally distributed. The results showed a significant effect of 0.00 on poetry appreciation scores after learning with Canva media. The posttest results indicated that Canva media facilitated students in expressing their understanding, responses, and appreciation of poetry more effectively and encouraged active participation during the learning process. This study demonstrates that using Canva media can help students improve their ability to appreciate poetry in learning. These findings can serve as an alternative for creative learning aligned with the needs of elementary school students.
