Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran gaya belajar siswa, untuk mengetahui gambaran prestasi belajar siswa dan untuk mengetahui perbedaan prestasi belajar siswa berdasarkan gaya belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif verifikatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 93 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan prestasi belajar siswa berdasarkan gaya belajar (Diverger, Assimilator, Converger, Accomodator, Diverger-Converger, Diverger-Accomodator, Converger-Accomodator) pada mata pelajaran akuntansi di kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 5 Cimahi, yang ditunjukkan dengan perolehan Fhitung (1,93) < Ftabel (2,21) dan siswa dengan gaya belajar Accomodator paling banyak ditemukan. Oleh karena itu rekomendasi bagi siswa untuk mengenali, memahami, dan mengembangkan gaya belajar yang dimilikinya. Selain itu guru dalam proses pembelajaran menerapkan metode mengajar yang bervariasi, sehingga dapat mengakomodasi perbedaan gaya belajar siswa dikelasnya dan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. This study aims to describe of the student's learning style, to describe of student's learning achievement and to determine differences in student's learning achievement based on student’s learning styles. The research method used is descriptive verification. Techniques of data collection using questionnaires. The research sample is 93 students by using random sampling techniques. The data analysis technique used was ANOVA. The results showed that there were no differences in student’s learning achievement based on learning styles (Diverger, Assimilator, Converger, Accomodator, Diverger-Converger, Diverger-Accomodator, Converger-Accomodator) on accounting subjects in XI grade IPS SMAN 5 Cimahi, as indicated by the acquisition of Fcount (1,93) <Ftable (2.21) and the most prevalent of student's learning style is Accomodator. Therefore the recommendation for students to recognize, understand, and develop their learning style. Moreover teachers in the learning process should implement teaching methods are varied, so it could be accommodate different learning styles of students in class and expected to improve student achievement.
