    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tenaga kerja lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) program keahlian Desain Pemodelan dan Informasi Bangunan (DPIB) di Kota Bandung, membandingkan kompetensi yang dipelajari di SMK dengan tuntutan industri jasa konstruksi, sera mengidentifikasi faktor dan upaya SMK dalam mempersiapkan lulusannya. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskritif kualitatif dengan pengambilan sampel sumber data menggunakan purposive sampling, yaitu pemilihan sampel dengan pertimbangan tertentu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Kota Bandung memiliki ketersediaan lulusan SMK DPIB yang cukup, namun tingkat keterserapan di industri yang bervariasi. Kompetensi utama yang diajarkan umumnya relevan dengan kebutuhan dasar industri, meskipun terdapat kesenjangan pada penguasaan teknologi Building Information Modelling (BIM) dan standar teknis tertentu. Pihak SMK berupaya mengatasi hal ini melalui kemitraan dengan industri, penyelarasan kurikulum, Praktik Kerja Lapangan (PKL), dan inisiatif link and match lainnya. Pada akhirnya diketahui bahwa sinergi yang erat antara SMK dan industri penting untuk mengoptimalkan penyerapan lulusan DPIB yang kompeten dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan sektor industri jasa konstruksi di Kota Bandung. This research aims to determine the profile of vocational high school (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan/SMK) graduates majoring in Building Design and Information Modeling (Desain Pemodelan dan Informasi Bangunan/DPIB) in Bandung City, to compare the competencies learned at SMK with the demands of the construction industry, and to identify the factors and efforts of SMKs in preparing their graduates. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a purposive sampling technique for selecting data sources based on specific considerations. The findings indicate that Bandung City has a sufficient availability of SMK DPIB graduates; however, the absorption rate in the industry varies. The primary competencies taught are generally relevant to the basic needs of the industry, although gaps exist in the mastery of Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology and specific technical standards. SMKs strive to address this through partnerships with the industry, curriculum alignment, industrial work practice (Praktik Kerja Lapangan/PKL), and other link and match initiatives. Ultimately, it is understood that a close synergy between SMKs and the industry is crucial to optimize the absorption of competent DPIB graduates who meet the needs of the construction industry sector in Bandung City.
