Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi supervisi akademik oleh kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di TK YKS 1 Cigalontang. Supervisi akademik merupakan salah satu strategi penting dalam pengembangan kualitas pendidikan, yang berfokus pada peningkatan kompetensi dan kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah belum melaksanakan supervisi akademik secara sistematis seperti kegiatan observasi kelas, pemberian umpan balik yang konstruktif, serta pelatihan dan pembinaan profesional. Implementasi supervisi ini berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan profesionalisme guru, yang terlihat dari perbaikan metode pembelajaran, meningkatnya kreativitas dalam mengajar, serta motivasi guru untuk terus belajar dan berkembang. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa supervisi akademik yang dilakukan secara konsisten, terencana, dan partisipatif dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan mutu pendidikan di jenjang pendidikan anak usia dini. Rekomendasi ditujukan untuk memperkuat program supervisi dan mendorong keterlibatan aktif guru dalam proses pengembangan profesional secara berkelanjutan. This study aims to analyze the implementation of academic supervision by school principals in improving teacher professionalism at YKS 1 Cigalontang Kindergarten. Academic supervision is an important strategy in developing the quality of education, focusing on improving teacher competence and performance. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that the principal has not implemented academic supervision systematically, such as classroom observation, constructive feedback, and professional training and coaching. The implementation of this supervision has a positive impact on improving teacher professionalism, as seen in the improvement of teaching methods, increased creativity in teaching, and teachers' motivation to continue learning and developing. This study concludes that academic supervision that is carried out consistently, planned, and participatively can contribute significantly to improving the quality of education at the early childhood education level. Recommendations are aimed at strengthening the supervision program and encouraging the active involvement of teachers in the process of continuous professional development
