Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peranan penuntun praktikum berbentuk komik bagi penguasaan keterampilan proses sains siswa serta mengetahui ketercapaian indikator keterampilan proses sains siswa ketika melaksanakan praktikum uji urin. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode pre-eksperimen. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMAN 7 Bandung yang berjumlah 32 orang. Data dijaring menggunakan lembar observasi yang dilengkapi rubrik keterampilan proses sains siswa, angket, dan wawancara pada guru Biologi. Angket diberikan untuk mengetahui pendapat siswa mengenai isi penuntun praktikum berbentuk komik, ketertarikan dan pandangan siswa terhadap penuntun praktikum berbentuk komik, serta kendala yang dialami ketika menggunakan penuntun praktikum berbentuk komik. Keterampilan proses sains yang diamati diantaranya keterampilan mengamati, menggunakan alat dan bahan, melaksanakan prosedur praktikum dengan benar, menginterpretasi, dan berkomunikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penuntun praktikum berbentuk komik dapat membantu dan memandu siswa untuk melaksanakan praktikum secara mandiri di sekolah. Rata-rata nilai keterampilan proses sains yang diperoleh siswa yaitu 83 dengan interpretasi baik. Siswa dan guru memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan penuntun praktikum berbentuk komik pada praktikum uji urin di sekolah. Dari 32 siswa, terdapat 6 orang siswa yang mengalami kendala ketika menggunakan penuntun praktikum berbentuk komik sementara 26 orang siswa tidak mengalami kendala karena penuntun praktikum berbentuk komik mudah dipahami, menyenangkan, dan gambar langkah kerjanya jelas sehingga membantu dalam pelaksanaan praktikum. Penuntun praktikum berbentuk komik dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif modul pembelajaran praktikum biologi. This study aimed to analyze the role of practical guidance in the form of comics toward science process skills of students and knowing science process skills indicator achievement by student when carrying out lab urine test. The method used is pre-experimental method. The subjects were students of class XI SMAN 7 Bandung, amounting to 32 people. Data acquired using observation sheet with rubric of science process skills, questionnaires, and interviews to the Biology teacher. Questionnaire is given to know the opinion of students about the content, interests and their views to the practical guidance in the form of comics, as well as constraints experienced when using practical guidance in the form of comics. Science process skills were observed including observing skills, using laboratory equipment and materials, implementing lab procedures correctly, interpret data, and communicate. The results showed that the practical guidance in the form of comics can help and guide the students to do practical work independently at school. The average value of science process skills students acquired at 83 indicate that science process skills were good. Students and teachers responded positively to the use of practical guidance in the form of comics in lab urine test at school. From 32 students, there are 6 students who experienced problems when using practical guidance in the form of comics while 26 students did not experience problems because of practical guidance in the form of comics is easy to understand, fun, and explicit images that help their step in the practical implementation.
