Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pelatihan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman karyawan terhadap protokol keselamatan di lingkungan kerja. Penelitian dilakukan di Unit Leadership, Management, and Safety Training Center Pusdiklat PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Bandung dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Modelling dengan pendekatan Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) menggunakan bantuan software SmartPLS 4.0. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner, dengan sampel sebanyak 86 responden. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan K3 berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kesadaran dan pemahaman K3. Nilai koefisien jalur (path coefficient) sebesar 0,935 dengan nilai t-statistic sebesar 27,582, jauh melebihi nilai t-table pada taraf signifikansi 5% (1,989), yang mengindikasikan bahwa hubungan antar variabel bersifat sangat signifikan. Selain itu, nilai p-value yang diperoleh adalah 0,000 < 0,05, memperkuat bukti bahwa efektivitas pelatihan memiliki pengaruh nyata terhadap variabel dependen. Namun, ditemukan beberapa kendala dalam implementasi, seperti keterlambatan pengadaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) serta rendahnya kepatuhan dalam pelaporan insiden ringan. Kesimpulan nya, pelatihan K3 terbukti efektif secara statistik dan praktis dalam meningkatkan pemahaman serta kesadaran karyawan. Implikasi dari hasil ini mendorong perlunya penguatan manajerial dan peningkatan mutu pelatihan secara berkelanjutan, agar penerapan K3 di lingkungan kerja menjadi lebih optimal dan berdampak nyata terhadap budaya keselamatan di industri perkeretaapian. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) training in increasing employee awareness and understanding of safety protocols in the workplace. The research was conducted at the Leadership, Management, and Safety Training Center Unit of the PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Bandung Training Center using a quantitative approach. The analysis technique used was Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) using SmartPLS 4.0 software. The research instrument was a questionnaire, with a sample of 86 respondents. The analysis results indicate that OHS training significantly increased OHS awareness and understanding. The path coefficient value was 0.935, with a t-statistic of 27.582, significantly exceeding the t-table value at the 5% significance level (1.989), indicating a highly significant relationship between the variables. Furthermore, the p-value obtained was 0.000 < 0.05, strengthening evidence that training effectiveness has a significant impact on the dependent variable. However, several implementation challenges were identified, such as delays in the procurement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and low compliance in reporting minor incidents. In conclusion, OHS training has been statistically and practically proven effective in increasing employee understanding and awareness. These results highlight the need for managerial strengthening and continuous improvement in training quality to optimize OHS implementation in the workplace and significantly impact safety culture in the railway industry.
