Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul-el interaktif membaca berbasis media Augmented Reality (AR) yang bermuatan gastronomi Sunda bagi pemelajar Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) aras madya. Latar belakang penelitian adalah tantangan pemelajar dalam memahami konteks budaya dan terbatasnya bahan bacaan yang menarik. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ADDIE. Produk berupa modul-el terdiri atas lima unit tematik yang mengangkat hidangan khas Sunda: nasi liwet, lalapan, pais, goyobod, dan surabi. Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli gastronomi, praktisi BIPA, dan ahli media. Uji coba terbatas melibatkan pemelajar BIPA tingkat madya. Hasil validasi menunjukkan kelayakan modul-el dengan skor rata-rata 85,56% (kategori “Sangat Baik”). Uji coba terbatas memperoleh skor rata-rata 83,61% (kategori “Baik”). Pemelajar menilai modul-el ini sangat membantu dalam memahami konteks budaya, memperkaya kosakata, dan meningkatkan minat belajar. Fitur AR dinilai efektif menjembatani pemahaman abstrak dari teks dengan representasi visual konkret. Modul-el interaktif membaca berbasis AR bermuatan gastronomi Sunda dinyatakan efektif dan layak sebagai bahan pengayaan membaca BIPA aras madya, serta berpotensi menjadi media diplomasi budaya Indonesia. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan lebih lanjut untuk mengintegrasikan keterampilan berbahasa lainnya. This study aims to produce an interactive reading e-module based on Augmented Reality (AR) technology, featuring Sundanese gastronomy, for learners of Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) at the intermediate level. The research is motivated by learners’ challenges in understanding cultural contexts and the limited availability of engaging reading materials. Using the ADDIE model, the e-module comprises five thematic units highlighting traditional Sundanese dishes: nasi liwet, lalapan, pais, goyobod, and surabi. Validation by gastronomy experts, BIPA practitioners, and media specialists resulted in an average feasibility score of 85.56% (“Very Good”). In comparison, a limited trial with intermediate BIPA learners yielded an average score of 83.61% (“Good”). Learners reported that the e-module effectively enhanced their understanding of cultural contexts, enriched their vocabulary, and increased their motivation to learn, with the AR feature successfully bridging abstract textual content with concrete visual representations. The findings indicate that the e-module is effective and suitable as supplementary reading material for intermediate BIPA learners and holds potential as a medium for Indonesian cultural diplomacy, with further development recommended to integrate other language skills.
