Abstract
Penelitian ini didasari oleh adanya fenomena overconformity dalam kelompok teman sebaya di antaranya dalam pewarnaan rambut, pemakaian kawat gigi (behel), dan pemakaian gadget tertentu. Tujuan penelitian yaitu (1) memperoleh gambaran empiris tentang gambaran umum perilaku overconformity, (2) memperoleh variasi dalam setiap aspek overconfromity dan (3) merancang strategi layanan bantuan dengan teknik Self Monitoring untuk mereduksi overconformity remaja. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap siswa Kelas VII SMP Pasundan 3 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan kuesioner tentang perilaku konformitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Siswa kelas VII SMP Pasundan 3 Bandung berada pada kategori konformitas sedang; (2) Terdapat 67 siswa yang termasuk dalam kategori konformitas tinggi (overconformity), dan (3) Layanan bantuan rancangan teknik Self Monitoring untuk mereduksi overconformity siswa kelas VII SMP Pasundan 3 Bandung dengan tahapan sebagai berikut: a) Pengenalan akan perilaku overconformity dan teknik self monitoring; b) Menyeleksi perilaku overconformity yang akan diubah; c) Menyusun atau membuat draft tentang tujuan perubahan untuk target yang diharapkan dan menghindari hambatan-hambatannya; d) Menargetkan reaksi-reaksi dari self-monitoring; e) Mengawasi atau memantau dan mencatat akibat dari setiap reaksi yang diamati; dan f) Mengevaluasi pemantauan dirinya untuk melihat perubahan keberhasilan self monitoring sebagai bagian dari self management-nya. Kata Kunci: Teknik Self Monitoring, Konformitas, Overconformity, Remaja This study is based on the existence of the phenomenon overconformity the peer group of which the hair coloring, use braces (brackets), and the use of a particular gadget. Purpose of research: (1) obtain empirical description of the general picture overconformity behavior, (2) obtain the variation in every aspect overconfromity and (3) designing strategies with technical assistance services to reduce overconformity Self Monitoring teenagers. Research conducted on grade VII student SMP Pasundan 3 Bandung 2013/2014. Approach to research using quantitative approach with descriptive methods. Collecting data using questionnaires about conformity behavior. The results showed that (1) students of grade VII SMP Pasundan 3 Bandung is in conformity categories are; (2) There are 67 students are included in the category of high conformity (overconformity), and (3) Service Self Monitoring engineering design assistance to reduce overconformity grade VII SMP Pasundan 3 Bandung, stages are: a) The introduction of overconformity behavior and technique of self monitoring; b) Selecting overconformity behavior to be changed; c) Develop or create a draft of the purpose of the changes to the expected target and avoid the obstacles; d) Target reactions of self-monitoring; e) Supervise or monitor and record the result of each reaction were observed; and f) Evaluate monitoring her to see changes to the success of self-monitoring as part of its self-management.
