Abstract
Urbanisasi dan peningkatan populasi di Kota Bandung telah mengubah tutupan lahan vegetasi menjadi area terbangun, memicu terjadinya fenomena UHI yang berdampak pada ketidaknyamanan termal manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: 1) perubahan tutupan lahan vegetasi, 2) pengaruh tutupan lahan vegetasi (NDVI) terhadap LST, 3) distribusi spasial UHI, 4) kaitan fenomena UHI dengan THI di Kota Bandung pada tahun 2015 dan 2024. Citra Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS tahun 2015 dan 2024 digunakan untuk analisis tutupan lahan vegetasi menggunakan algoritma Maximum Likehood dan NDVI, Suhu Permukaan Daratan (LST), fenomena UHI dengan metode Threshold, serta indeks kenyamanan termal menggunakan persamaan Temperature Himidity Index (THI). Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya penurunan luas tutupan lahan vegetasi sebesar 8,4 km2, adanya pengaruh yang berbanding terbalik antara NDVI terhadap LST, serta adanya peningkatan intensitas dan perluasan wilayah terdampak UHI, tutupan lahan non-vegetasi teridentifikasi sebagai area yang paling luas terdampak UHI pada tahun 2015 dan 2024. Lebih lanjut, ditemukan pengaruh yang berbanding lurus antara UHI terhadap THI di Kota Bandung pada tahun 2015 dan 2024. Temuan ini menggaris bawahi urgensi kebijakan perencanaan kota untuk memprioritaskan peningkatan ruang hijau dalam mitigasi UHI demi mewujudkan lingkungan perkotaan yang lebih nyaman dan berkelanjutan. Urbanization and population growth in Bandung City have converted vegetation cover into built-up areas, which triggers the Urban Heat Island (UHI) phenomenon and impacts human thermal discomfort. This study aims to analyze: 1) changes in vegetation cover, 2) the effect of vegetation cover (NDVI) on land surface temperature (LST), 3) the spatial distribution of UHI, and 4) the relationship between UHI and the Thermal Humidity Index (THI) in Bandung City from 2015 to 2024. Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS imagery from 2015 and 2024 was used for the analysis. Vegetation cover was analyzed using the Maximum Likelihood algorithm and NDVI, while LST and UHI were analyzed using the threshold method, and THI was determined using its specific equation. The results show an 8.4 km2 decrease in vegetation cover area. A significant inverse relationship was found between NDVI and LST, along with an increase in the intensity and expansion of UHI-affected areas. Non-vegetated land cover was identified as the most widely impacted area by UHI in both 2015 and 2024. Furthermore, a positive correlation was discovered between UHI and THI. These findings underscore the urgency of implementing urban planning policies that prioritize the increase of green spaces to mitigate UHI, thereby creating a more comfortable and sustainable urban environment.
