Abstract

ABSTRAK Skripsi berjudul “Olah Suara Dalang Asep Koswara dalam Menyajikan Karakter Suara Wayang Golek Pandawa Lima” bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan cara membunyikan atau menyuarakan karakter suara wayang golek pandawa lima melalui pengalaman narasumber selama mempelajari cara menyajikannya berdasarkan landasan teori yang ada. Didalam skripsi ini peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Jawaban-jawaban tersebut mengarah kepada standarisasi yang sama, bahwa setiap karakter suara pandawa lima akan mengikuti standar yang telah ada, berdasarkan filosofi-filosofi karakter yang diyakini. Yang mana karakter tersebut memiliki masing-masing karakteristik yang berbeda, setiap narasumber menegaskan bahwa Yudistira memiliki suara yang rendah, lembut, bijaksana, Arjuna suaranya sedikit lebih tinggi namun tetap lembut seperti Yudistira. Sementara Bima, memiliki karakter yang keras, tidak tunduk pada siapapun, maka karakter suaranya dibuat sebagai seperti orang-orang yang bijaksana, perkasa, dimana mayoritas suaranya bass dan berwibawa atau dalam bahasa pedalangan disebut dengan gangsa. Selanjutnya, Nakula dan Sadewa, memiliki karakter yang menghormati tokoh yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan mereka (cirinya adalah dengan diiringi surupan dari gamelan) dan ketika berbicara dengan tokoh yang berada dibawahnya, Nakula dan Sadewa hanya berbicara biasa saja (tidak diiringi gamelan). Cara yang dilakukan oleh beberapa Narasumber ketika mempelajari teknik menyuarakan karakter pandawa lima, tahapan yang pertama yaitu harus mengetahui terlebih dahulu karakter setiap tokoh pandawa lima, lalu melihat bentuk fisik wayangnya seperti apa, lalu perlunya mencari referensi dari beberapa Dalang yang lain, ketika semua tahap tersebut sudah tercapai, barulah menyamakan suara dengan standarisasi sesuai tokoh karakter pandawa lima. Dengan penelitian ini, mendapatkan hasil bagaimana cara dalang membunyikan atau menyuarakan karakter suara wayang golek pandawa lima beserta karakteristik masing-masing. ABSTRACT The thesis entitled “The Voice of Dalang Asep Koswara in Presenting the Voice Characters of the Pandawa Lima Wayang Golek” aims to describe how to sound or vocalize the voice characters of the Lima Pandawa Wayang Golek through the resource person's experience while studying how to present it based on the existing theoretical basis. In this thesis, the researcher uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. These answers lead to the same standardization: that each of the five Pandawa voice characters will follow existing standards based on the character's beliefs and philosophies. Each character has different characteristics; each source emphasized that Yudistira has a low, soft, wise voice. Arjuna's voice is slightly higher but still soft like Yudistira. Meanwhile, Bima has a tough character and does not submit to anyone, so his voice character is made like that of a wise, powerful person, where the majority of his voice is bass and authoritative, or in puppetry language, it is called gangsa. Furthermore, Nakula and Sadewa have characters who respect figures who are higher than them (the characteristic is that they are accompanied by the sound of gamelan), and when talking to figures who are below them, Nakula and Sadewa only speak normally (not accompanied by gamelan). The method used by several resource persons when learning the technique of voicing the five Pandawa characters is that the first stage is that you must first know the character of each Pandawa character, then see what the physical form of the puppet is like, then you need to look for references from several other puppeteers. After all these stages have been achieved, then equalize the sound with standardization according to the five Pandawa characters.
