    Abstract

    Penelitian kuantitatif ini menganalisis pengaruh work-family conflict (WFC) dan organizational based self esteem (OBSE) terhadap work engagement pada 314 wanita bekerja yang sudah menikah di Kota Bandung. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan skala Work and Family Conflict Scale (WAFCS), Organizational Based Self-Esteem Scale (OBSE-Scale), dan Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-9), kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa work-family conflict memiliki pengaruh negatif yang signifikan terhadap keterlibatan kerja. Ini berarti bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat work-family conflict yang dialami, semakin rendah pula work engagement individu. Variabel work-family conflict mampu menjelaskan sebagian besar variasi dalam work engagement. Di sisi lain, organization based self esteem ditemukan memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap work engagement. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi keyakinan individu akan nilai dan kompetensinya dalam organisasi, semakin tinggi pula tingkat keterlibatan kerjanya. Variabel organization based self esteem juga menjelaskan proporsi yang substansial dari variasi keterlibatan kerja.Secara simultan, kedua variabel, yaitu work family conflict dan Organization based self esteem, secara signifikan memengaruhi work engagement. Kombinasi kedua faktor ini menjelaskan sebagian besar variasi dalam work engagement, menunjukkan bahwa keduanya merupakan prediktor penting. This quantitative study aimed to investigate the intricate relationship between work-family conflict and organizational based self-esteem as predictors of work engagement among married career women in Bandung City. A total of 314 married working women participated in this research. Data collection was meticulously carried out using three standardized instruments: the Work and Family Conflict Scale (WAFCS) to measure the level of conflict experienced between work and family roles, the Organizational Based Self-Esteem Scale (OBSE-Scale) to assess individuals' self-perceptions of their value and competence within their organizations, and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-9) to gauge their level of work engagement. The collected data were then subjected to linear regression analysis to determine the nature and strength of the relationships between these variables.The findings revealed a significant negative influence of work-family conflict on work engagement. This implies that as the demands and pressures from work and family roles increasingly clash, leading to higher levels of work-family conflict, the enthusiasm, dedication, and absorption of these women in their professional tasks tend to diminish. The analysis indicated that work-family conflict accounts for a substantial portion of the variability observed in work engagement. Conversely, organizational based self-esteem was found to exert a significant positive influence on work engagement. This suggests that when married career women perceive themselves as valuable, competent, and important within their organizational context, their level of work engagement is considerably higher. Organizational based self-esteem also explained a notable proportion of the variance in work engagement.Furthermore, when both work-family conflict and organizational based self-esteem were considered simultaneously, they collectively demonstrated a powerful and significant impact on work engagement. This combined model accounted for a large percentage of the total variation in work engagement, highlighting the joint importance of these two factors.
