    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen evaluasi pembelajaran ansambel Rapa’i berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi Quizizz sebagai media evaluasi interaktif. Latar belakang penelitian berangkat dari praktik evaluasi seni budaya di sekolah yang masih konvensional, cenderung berfokus pada Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS), dan belum memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) model Sugiyono yang meliputi sepuluh tahapan, mulai dari identifikasi potensi dan masalah, perancangan produk, validasi ahli, uji coba terbatas, revisi, uji pemakaian, hingga produksi akhir. Subjek penelitian adalah 28 siswa kelas X Farmasi 1 SMK Negeri 6 Langsa dan seorang guru seni budaya. Instrumen yang dikembangkan mencakup butir soal berbasis HOTS pada ranah kognitif C4 (analisis), C5 (evaluasi), dan C6 (kreasi) yang terintegrasi dengan fitur Quizizz, dilengkapi stimulus visual dan audio untuk mendukung penilaian aspek musikal dan representasi nilai kultural ansambel Rapa’i. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen dinilai layak oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, serta mendapatkan respons positif dari siswa dan guru. Penggunaan Quizizz meningkatkan keterlibatan, motivasi, dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi, sekaligus memudahkan guru dalam melakukan evaluasi autentik berbasis performa musik. Simpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pemanfaatan aplikasi Quizizz dapat menjadi alternatif inovatif dalam desain evaluasi pembelajaran seni musik yang mendorong pengembangan HOTS siswa serta menjaga relevansi pembelajaran dengan perkembangan teknologi pendidikan. This study aims to develop a Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based assessment instrument for Rapa’i ensemble learning by utilizing the Quizizz application as an interactive evaluation medium. The research background stems from the fact that art and culture assessment practices in schools remain conventional, tend to focus on Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS), and have yet to employ digital technology to measure students’ higher-order thinking abilities. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method following Sugiyono’s model, which includes ten stages, from identifying potential and problems, product design, expert validation, limited trials, revisions, user testing, to final production. The research subjects consisted of 28 tenth-grade Pharmacy students at SMK Negeri 6 Langsa and one art and culture teacher. The developed instrument comprised HOTS-based test items in the cognitive domains C4 (analyzing), C5 (evaluating), and C6 (creating), integrated into Quizizz features and enriched with visual and audio stimuli to support the assessment of musical aspects and the cultural representation of the Rapa’i ensemble. The results indicate that the instrument was deemed feasible by material and media experts and received positive responses from students and teachers. The use of Quizizz was found to enhance student engagement, motivation, and understanding of the subject matter, while also facilitating teachers in conducting authentic performance-based assessments. This study concludes that Quizizz can serve as an innovative alternative for designing music education assessments that foster students’ HOTS development while maintaining the relevance of learning with the advancement of educational technology.
