    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran RADEC dalam meningkatkan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa kelas 5 pada materi siklus air yang dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kepedulian siswa terhadap lingkungan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen dengan desain quasi- eksperimen. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 5 SDN Pasirbenteng II yang berjumlah 33 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan SDN Ciitungku dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 32 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran RADEC terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa kelas 5 pada materi siklus air. sehingga model pembelajaran RADEC dapat berimplikasi pada karakter peduli lingkungan siswa kelas 5 untuk lebih sadar terhadap akan pentingnya menjaga lingkungan serta membentuk sikap tanggung jawab yang kuat sejak dini. Kata Kunci: Karakter Peduli Lingkungan, Pembelajaran RADEC, Pendidikan Karakter, Siklus Air, Quasi Eksperimen This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the RADEC learning model in improving the environmental care character of 5th grade students on water cycle material which is motivated by the low level of student concern for the environment. The research method used is an experiment with a quasi-experimental design. The subjects of this study were 5th grade students of SDN Pasirbenteng II with 33 students as the experimental class and SDN Ciitungku with 32 students as the control class. The data collection techniques used were observation, and questionnaire. The results showed that the RADEC learning model was proven effective to improve the environmental care character of 5th grade students on water cycle material. so that the RADEC learning model can have implications for the environmental care character of 5th grade students to be more aware of the importance of protecting the environment and forming a strong attitude of responsibility from an early age.
