Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan buku ajar reaksi redoks dengan konteks kembang api yang dapat meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pengembangan dan validasi, dengan tahapan penelitian mengikuti Model of Education Reconstruction (MER). Produk buku ajar divalidasi oleh 7 ahli dan diuji keterbacaannya oleh 30 peserta didik SMA. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa format perpaduan konten dan konteks, pedoman wawancara dan tes tertulis, format validasi buku ajar serta alat uji keterbacaan. Hasil penelitian berupa teks perpaduan yang ditunjukkan dengan konten reaksi redoks dipadukan dengan contoh reaksi dari komponen penyusun kembang api. Pertimbangan aspek pedagogis yang didasarkan pada studi empiris ditunjukkan dengan cara generalisasi dan partikularisasi berdasarkan teori reduksi didaktik. Berdasarkan validasi ahli, buku ajar yang dihasilkan layak untuk digunakan oleh peserta didik SMA dengan nilai Content Validity Index (CVI) 0,919. Hasil keterbacaan menunjukkan 80% dari jumlah peserta didik dapat menentukan ide pokok yang sesuai dengan ide pokok yang telah ditentukan. This research aims to develop a redox reaction book chapter using fireworks context that can help to improve scientific literacy of high school students. The method used in this research is the development and validation, adopting stages of the research Model of Education Reconstruction (MER), content validation by 7 experts and legibility test by 30 high school students. The research instruments are a form to check the integration of content and context, an interview with who students and a written test, textbook validation and the legibility test format. The integration of content and context is indicated by the combination of content of redox reactions, with the examples of the reaction using the components of fireworks. The consideration of pedagogical aspects are based on empirical studies indicated by way of generalization and partikularisasi based on the theory of didactic reduction. From the validation format, the textbook produced is viable to use by high school students with the value of the Content Validity Index (CVI) of 0.919. Base on the legibility test it is indicated that 80% of the students are able to determine the main ideas in accordance with the previously determined basic ideas.
