    Abstract

    Budaya populer Korea atau K-pop telah menjadi fenomena global yang memengaruhi berbagai aspek kehidupan, terutama pada kalangan remaja dan dewasa muda. Salah satu bentuk pengaruh tersebut adalah perilaku celebrity worship, yaitu keterikatan emosional berlebih terhadap idola. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi dan media sosial, akun fanbase menjadi sarana penting yang digunakan penggemar untuk memperoleh informasi, berinteraksi, dan mengikuti berbagai aktivitas berkaitan dengan idolanya. Berbeda dengan penelitian sebelumnya, penelitian ini menggunakan faktor eksternal sebagai indikator pengaruh terhadap perilaku, dimana penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan akun fanbase terhadap perilaku celebrity worship pada penggemar K-pop, khususnya penggemar boy group NCT yang tergabung dalam akun fanbase Instagram @nctzenarea. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner secara daring kepada 100 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat penggunaan akun fanbase tinggi dan perilaku celebrity worship responden berada pada tingkatan sedang dan juga adanya pengaruh positif dari intensitas penggunaan akun fanbase terhadap tingkat celebrity worship, di mana semakin tinggi interaksi penggemar dengan akun fanbase, semakin besar pula kecenderungan mereka menunjukkan perilaku celebrity worship. Korean popular culture, or K-pop, has become a global phenomenon that influences various aspects of life, particularly among teenagers and young adults. One manifestation of this influence is celebrity worship behavior, which refers to an excessive emotional attachment to idols. Along with the development of technology and social media, fanbase accounts have become an important medium used by fans to obtain information, interact, and engage in various activities related to their idols. Unlike previous studies, this research employs external factors as indicators of influence on behavior, aiming to examine the effect of fanbase account usage on celebrity worship behavior among K-pop fans, specifically fans of the boy group NCT who are members of the Instagram fanbase account @nctzenarea. This study adopts a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing online questionnaires to 100 respondents. The findings reveal that the level of fanbase account usage is high, while the respondents’ celebrity worship behavior is at a moderate level. Furthermore, the results indicate a positive effect of fanbase account usage intensity on the level of celebrity worship, where the greater the interaction of fans with fanbase accounts, the stronger their tendency to exhibit celebrity worship behavior.
