Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang dilakukan menggunakan model ADDIE yang terdiri atas lima tahap: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Pengembangan media pembelajaran berupa game edukasi berbasis multimedia interaktif yang di latar belakangi oleh kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal penjumlahan dan pengurangan. Pada tahap analysis dilakukan identifikasi kebutuhan siswa, guru, kurikulum dan tujuan pembelajaran. Tahap design meliputi perancangan konsep alur permainan, desain tampilan permainan, dan konten/aset untuk keperluan permainan. Tahap development meliputi pembuatan teknis media berdasarkan rancangan yang telah disiapkan. Pada tahap ini juga dilakukan validasi pada ahli media, materi, dan bahasa. Tahap implementation dilakukan uji coba media kepada siswa kelas III serta untuk mengetahui efektivitas media terhadap pemahaman. Tahap evaluation bertujuan untuk menilai kualitas media dan melakukan revisi untuk menyempurnakan hasil akhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa game edukasi Math War berbasis multimedia interaktif valid dengan nilai persentase kelayakan masing-masing sebesar 91% (kelayakan media), 97% (kelayakan materi), dan 95% (bahasa), yang seluruhnya termasuk dalam kategori “sangat layak”. Kemudian, respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media menunjukkan hasil yang positif, yaitu sebesar 73% dan termasuk dalam kategori “baik”, serta untuk hasil analisis tes siswa masih tergolong rendah. Meskipun demikian, siswa merasa termotivasi untuk belajar saat menggunakan media game edukasi Math War. Sementara itu, diperlukan analisis yang lebih mendalam mengenai kesiapan siswa sebelum dilakukan uji coba media dan perbaikan lebih lanjut pada media yang dikembangkan. This study is a development research conducted using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The developed learning media is an interactive multimedia-based educational game called Math War, designed to address students’ difficulties in solving addition and subtraction problems. In the Analysis stage, the needs of students, teachers, curriculum, and learning objectives were identified. The Design stage focused on creating the game flow concept, interface design, and instructional content. The Development stage involved the technical creation of the media based on the prepared design, followed by expert validation from media, material, and language specialists. In the Implementation stage, the game was tested with third- grade students to examine its effectiveness in improving mathematical understanding. Finally, the Evaluation stage aimed to assess the overall quality of the media and make necessary revisions to refine the product. The results indicate that the Math War educational game is valid and feasible, with a feasibility percentage of 91% (media), 97% (material), and 95% (language), all categorized as “highly feasible.” Student responses were also positive, reaching 73% and classified as “good.” However, the analysis of student test results revealed relatively low performance. Despite this, students reported increased motivation to learn when using the game. These findings suggest that further analysis of student readiness before media trials, along with continuous refinement of the developed media, is necessary to maximize its effectiveness.
