Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan metode bermain peran berbantuan komik tatakrama bahasa Sunda dalam meningkatkan kemampuan tatakrama siswa. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menerapkan tatakrama bahasa Sunda, yang disebabkan oleh lingkungan sekitar yang kurang membiasakan penggunaan bahasa Sunda dan adanya percampuran bahasa dengan bahasa Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Mixed Methods dengan desain konvergen. Pada bagian kuantitatif, desain yang digunakan adalah kuasi-eksperimen dengan model pretest-posttest with non• equivalent control group, di mana dua kelompok siswa (kontrol dan eksperimen) dibandingkan untuk melihat peningkatan hasil belajar setelah diberikan perlakuan. Sementara itu, pada bagian kualitatif, penelitian ini digunakan untuk menggali secara mendalam respons, pengalaman, dan pandangan siswa serta guru terhadap proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas, yaitu kelas kontrol di SDN Citungku dan kelas eksperimen di SDN Ganjartemu. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes pretest dan posttest, angket respons siswa, lembar observasi, serta pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode bermain peran berbantuan komik tatakrama bahasa Sunda mampu memberikan peningkatan yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan tatakrama siswa dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penggunaan metode bermain peran berbantuan media komik dapat menjadi strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan penguasaan tatakrama bahasa Sunda siswa sekolah dasar. The background of this study is the low ability of students to apply Sundanese language etiquette, which is caused by an environment that does not encourage the use of the Sundanese language and the mixing of the Sundanese language with Indonesian. The research method used is Mixed Methods with a convergent design. In the quantitative section, a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest model with a non-equivalent control group was used, where two groups of students (control and experimental) were compared to observe improvements in learning outcomes after treatment. Meanwhile, in the qualitative section, this study was used to explore in depth the responses, experiences, and views ofstudents and teachers regarding the learning process that tookplace. The research subjects consisted of two classes, namely the control class at SDN Citungku and the experimental class at SDN Ganjartemu. The research instruments included pretest and posttest tests, student response questionnaires, observation sheets, and interview guidelines. The results of the study indicate that the application of the role-playing method assisted by Sundanese language etiquette comics can significantly improve students' etiquette skills compared to the control class. Thesefindings indicate that the use ofrole-playing methods assisted by comic media can be an effective learning strategy to improve elementary school students' mastery ofSundanese language etiquette.
