Laras, - (2025) PENERAPAN METODE SQ3R (SURVEY, QUESTION, READ, RECITE, REVIEW) DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN CERITA PENDEK PADA SISWA KELAS IV SDN BATOK BALI. S1 thesis, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.

    Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the SQ3R method and the obstacles faced by students in its use. This is due to the low reading comprehension of students towards the contents of short story texts even though students are able to read fluently. This study was conducted in grade IV of Batok Bali State Elementary School with a total of 32 students, in two cycles using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach. The instruments used included teacher activity sheets, student activity sheets, and formative test sheets. In the first cycle, the teacher activity sheet obtained a score of 92%, the student activity sheet had an average score of 7.03 with a percentage of 70.3%, and the student formative test obtained an average score of 66 with a percentage of 62.5%. In the second cycle, the teacher activity sheet obtained a score of 100%, the student activity sheet had an average score of 9.09 with a percentage of 90.9%, and the student formative test obtained an average score of 82 with a percentage of 84.5%. These findings indicate that the implementation of the SQ3R method has a significant positive influence on learning students' reading and comprehension skills.
