Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi KWL berbantuan media Nearpod terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimen dan pengumpulan data melalui tes membaca dan observasi partisipatif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas eksperimen dan kontrol, dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 30 siswa di masing-masing kelas. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi ini memberikan pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan skor post-test siswa, dengan rata-rata 79,89 dibandingkan 56,88 pada kelas kontrol (p < 0,05). Selain itu, analisis non-parametrik menggunakan uji Mann–Whitney U menunjukkan bahwa siswa dalam kelas eksperimen memiliki kemampuan membaca yang lebih baik berdasarkan nilai mean rank sebesar 40,12 dibandingkan 20,88 pada kelas kontrol. Hasil ini mendukung temuan sebelumnya bahwa integrasi teknologi digital dan strategi pembelajaran aktif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar penggunaan strategi KWL berbantuan media Nearpod dapat dipertimbangkan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa di era digital. This research aims to find out the influence of the KWL strategy with the help of Nearpod media on the reading comprehension ability of students in grade IV of Elementary School. The method used is quantitative with pre-experimental design and data collection through reading tests and participatory observations. The research sample consisted of experimental and control class students, with a total of 30 participants in each class. The results of statistical analysis show that the implementation of this strategy has a significant positive effect on the improvement of students' post-test scores, with an average of 79.89 compared to 56.88 in the control class (p < 0.05). In addition, non- parametric analysis using the Mann–Whitney U test showed that students in the experimental class had better reading skills based on a mean rank score of 40.12 compared to 20.88 in the control class. These results support previous findings that the integration of digital technology and active learning strategies can significantly improve student learning outcomes. This research suggests that the use of KWL strategy with the help of Nearpod media can be considered as an effective learning alternative in improving students' reading skills in the digital era.
