Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integreted Reading And Composition (CIRC). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang memperoleh metode pembelajaran ekspositori dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen, subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII F dan kelas VII G SMP Negeri 45 Bandung. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes dan instrument non tes. Instrument tes berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan instrument non tes terdiri dari angket, lembar observasi, dan jurnal harian siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integreted Reading And Composition (CIRC) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran matematika menggunakan metode pembelajaran ekspositori, serta seluruh siswa memberikan sikap positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Cooperative Integreted Reading And Composition (CIRC). This study examines about the application of cooperative learning model type Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). This study are aimed to discover whether the increasing of students’ mathematical communication ability who gets cooperative learning model type Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition is higher than those who gets expository learning model and to discover how students’ attitude toward learning Mathematics by using cooperative learning model type Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CISC). The methodology used in this study is quasi-experimental, and the subject in this study is Class VII F and G students of SMPN 45 Bandung. The instrument used in this study is test and non-test instrument. Test instrument is in the form of mathematical communication ability test and non-test instrument is in the form of questionnaire observation sheet and students’ daily journal. The result of the study indicates that learning mathematics by using cooperative learning model type Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) is higher than learning mathematics using expository learning model, and also all of the students give positive attitude toward learning mathematics using cooperative learning model type Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC).
