    Abstract

    Pendidikan merupakan salah satu pilar utama dalam pembangunan nasional yang berfungsi mencetak sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas, berdaya saing, dan berdaya guna. Pemerataan akses pendidikan menjadi tantangan dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola persebaran, daya layan, dan zonasi wilayah sekolah menengah atas negeri (SMAN) di Kabupaten Jepara. Pendekatan yang digunakan merupakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan dukungan analisis spasial berbasis Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, dokumentasi, dan penyebaran kuisioner kepada responden yang terdiri dari masyarakat Kabupaten Jepara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persebaran SMAN di Kabupaten Jepara belum merata dan memiliki pola random, menyebabkan kesenjangan akses pendidikan antar kecamatan. Meskipun daya layan sekolah tergolong efektif, jumlah penduduk usia sekolah yang nantinya akan melanjutkan ke jenjang selanjutnya, melebihi kapasitas daya tampung yang tersedia, sehingga masih diperlukannya penambahan daya tampung. Analisis zonasi mengungkapkan adanya wilayah blankspot yang tidak tercakup dalam radius zonasi ideal, terutama di daerah terpencil dan jauh dari sekolah. Rekomendasi yang diberikan dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya evaluasi kebijakan zonasi serta penambahan fasilitas pendidikan untuk mendukung pemerataan akses dan kualitas pendidikan di Kabupaten Jepara. Education is one of the fundamental pillars of national development, serving to produce high-quality, competitive, and productive human resources. Ensuring equitable access to education remains a challenge in improving the quality of human capital in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the distribution patterns, service capacity, and zoning of public senior high schools in Jepara Regency. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach supported by spatial analysis using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Data were collected through observation and documentation. The findings reveal that the distribution of SMAN in Jepara Regency is uneven and follows a random pattern, resulting in disparities in educational access across sub-districts. Although the service capacity of schools is relatively effective, the number of school-aged residents surpasses the available capacity, indicating the need for additional facilities. The zoning analysis further identifies blank spot areas outside the ideal service radius, particularly in remote locations. Policy evaluation and the expansion of educational facilities are recommended to enhance equitable access and quality education in Jepara Regency.
