Abstract
Perpustakaan menjadi pusat informasi dan pembelajaran yang harus mengikuti perkembangan teknologi untuk menyediakan layanannya melalui platform digital. Namun, pada realitanya masih terdapat perpustakaan yang menghadapi keterbatasan koleksi, salah satunya adalah perpustakaan sekolah. Lebih dari itu, setiap siswa, terutama usia remaja membutuhkan informasi untuk mendukung pengembangan diri. Kebutuhan ini dapat difasilitasi dengan biblioterapi. Biblioterapi merupakan terapi melalui aktivitas membaca untuk mendampingi, memotivasi, dan mendukung proses pengembangan diri. Biblioterapi berbasis website menjadi solusi untuk memperluas akses bacaan kepada pengguna. Upaya ini dapat menjadi solusi di tengah keterbatasan koleksi di perpustakaan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang website biblioterapi guna mendukung pengembangan diri remaja usia 12–18 tahun. Website dirancang dengan metode Design and Development (D&D), menggunakan model waterfall, dan melibatkan 1 praktisi website, 1 pakar biblioterapi, dan 10 remaja sebagai partisipan. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan analisis deskriptif menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan skala Likert dan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menganalisis jawaban terbuka dari partisipan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan yang baik dari penilaian yang dilakukan oleh praktisi website, pakar biblioterapi, guru bimbingan konseling, dan remaja. Adapun tanggapan terkait kelebihan, kekurangan, dan saran pada aspek penilaian kriteria website yang baik, penilaian konten website, dan kegunaan website untuk pengguna. Website biblioterapi dinilai mampu memfasilitasi kebutuhan bacaan dan mendukung pengembangan diri remaja secara digital. Libraries serve as centres of information and learning and are required to adapt to technological advancements by providing their services through digital platforms. Nevertheless, many libraries, particularly school libraries, continue to face limitations in their collections. At the same time, students-especially adolescents require access to information that supports their personal development. Bibliotherapy, which utilises reading as a therapeutic activity to accompany, motivate, and guide self-development, can address this need. A website-based bibliotherapy service offers a means of expanding access to reading materials and provides a practical solution to the constraints of limited library collections. This study aimed to design a bibliotherapy website to support the self-development of adolescents aged 12–18 years. The research employed a Design and Development (D&D) approach using the Waterfall model and involved one website practitioner, one bibliotherapy expert, and ten adolescent participants. Data were collected through questionnaires and analysed using a mixed-methods approach: quantitative data were assessed with Likert-scale descriptive analysis, while qualitative data were examined through participants’ open-ended responses. The evaluation results indicated a good level of feasibility based on the assessments conducted by website practitioners, bibliotherapy experts, guidance and counselling teachers, and adolescents. Participants also provided feedback highlighting the strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations regarding website design criteria, content, and usability. Overall, the bibliotherapy website was found to be effective in supporting adolescents’ digital self-development while simultaneously addressing the limitations of school library collections.
