Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih terbatasnya media pembelajaran yang mendukung pemahaman sifat-sifat bangun datar di sekolah dasar. Hasil wawancara dan observasi menunjukkan bahwa media yang digunakan guru belum optimal dalam menyampaikan materi, mudah rusak, dan tidak dapat digunakan berulang kali. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran papan berpaku pada materi sifat-sifat bangun datar kelas IV sekolah dasar serta menilai kelayakan dan kepraktisannya. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN 2 Sukasenang, Kabupaten Ciamis, menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model ADDIE. Pada tahap analisys ditemukan bahwa peserta didik mengalami kesulitan memahami konsep karena minimnya media konkret. Tahap design menghasilkan rancangan media papan berpaku dengan petunjuk penggunaan. Pada tahap pengembangan (development), produk divalidasi oleh ahli media dengan skor 91,7% dan oleh ahli materi dengan skor 94,5%, keduanya termasuk kategori sangat valid. Tahap implementasi (implementation) dilakukan di kelas IV-A (22 peserta didik) dan IV-B (23 peserta didik). Respon peserta didik menunjukkan hasil 88,5% (kategori sangat positif) di kelas IV-A dan 97,7% (kategori sangat positif) di kelas IV-B. Respon pendidik juga sangat baik, yaitu 93,6% dari pendidik kelas IV-A dan 96,8% dari pendidik kelas IV-B yang termasuk kategori sangat positif. Pada tahap evaluasi (evaluation), hasil keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa media papan berpaku layak dan praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, media papan berpaku dapat menjadi alternatif media manipulatif dalam pembelajaran geometri di sekolah dasar. This study was motivated by the limited availability of learning media that support the understanding of plane figure properties in elementary schools. Interviews and observations revealed that the media used by teachers were not optimal in delivering the material, were easily damaged, and could not be reused. Therefore, this study aims to develop geoboard learning media for the topic of plane figure properties for fourth-grade elementary school students and to assess its feasibility and practicality. The research was conducted at SDN 2 Sukasenang, Ciamis Regency, using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. In the analysis stage, it was found that students experienced difficulties in understanding concepts due to the lack of concrete media. The design stage resulted in a geoboard prototype equipped with usage guidelines. In the development stage, the product was validated by media experts with a score of 91.7% and by material experts with a score of 94.5%, both categorized as very valid. The implementation stage was carried out in class IV-A (22 students) and IV-B (23 students). Student responses showed scores of 88.5% in class IV-A and 97.7% in class IV-B, both categorized as very positive. Teacher responses were also very good, with 93.6% in class IV-A and 96.8% in class IV-B, both categorized as very positive. In the evaluation stage, the overall results indicated that the geoboard is feasible and practical to be used in learning. Thus, the geoboard can serve as an alternative manipulative medium for geometry learning in elementary schools.
