    Abstract

    Media sosial yang kini menjadi salah satu sarana untuk berkomunikasi, nampaknya menjadi penyebab dari kecemasan sosial di kalangan penggunanya. Kecemasan sosial dalam bermedia sosial merujuk pada ketakutan evaluasi negatif terhadap konten yang dibagikan, ketakutan terkait penyalahgunaan data pribadi, dan ketakutan berinteraksi dengan pengguna lain. Namun, sampai saat ini belum ada alat ukur yang valid dan andal untuk menilai kecemasan sosial dalam konteks bermedia sosial di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengadaptasi alat ukur Social Anxiety Scale for Social Media Users (SAS-SMU) ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan total 1009 partisipan dalam tiga tahap pengambilan data, yaitu uji keterbacaan (n = 61), pilot study 1 (n = 287), dan uji validitas lanjutan (n = 661). Proses adaptasi dilakukan terhadap 21 item dalam empat dimensi. Untuk menganalisis data yang sudah dikumpulkan, dilakukan analisis item, analisis validitas, dan analisis reliabilitas. Tahap uji keterbacaan menghasilkan nilai validitas isi dengan koefisien Aiken’s V 0.96. Tahap pilot study, menghasilkan model dengan empat faktor dan seluruh item mempunyai nilai item-rest correlation > 0.3. Pada tahap uji validitas lanjutan, hasil pengujian indeks kecocokan fit menggunakan CFA, didapatkan hasil x^2 = 818.540, df = 183, p < 0.001, CMIN/df = 4.47, RMSEA = 0.072, SRMR = 0.050, CFI = 0.926, TLI = 0.915, dan NFI = 0.907. Hasil pengujian validitas konvergen menggunakan alat ukur General Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) dan Interaction Anxiousness Scale (IAS) menunjukkan koefisien korelasi r = 0.428 dan r = 0.593. Hasil pengujian validitas diskriminan menggunakan alat ukur Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) menunjukkan koefisien korelasi r = -0.148. Hasil pengujian reliabilitas, menunjukkan nilai koefisien Cronbach’s Alpha α = 0.925. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai instrumen deteksi awal untuk menilai kecemasan sosial yang timbul dari penggunaan platform media sosial. Social media, one of the main channels for communication, has been linked to the rise of social anxiety among its users. In this context, social anxiety refers to the fear of negative evaluation of shared content, misuse of personal data, and uneasy feeling when interacting with other users. However, there is currently no valid and reliable tool to measure social anxiety in social media use in Indonesia. This study aimed to adapt Social Anxiety Scale for Social Media Users (SAS-SMU) into Indonesian. Using a quantitative approach, this study involved 1009 participants in three stages of data collection: a readability test (n = 61), pilot study 1 (n = 287), and advanced validity testing (n = 661). The adaptation covered 21 items across four dimensions. Data analysis included item analysis, validity testing, and reliability assessment. The readability test stage produced a content validity value with an Aiken's V coefficient of 0.96. The pilot study stage produced a model with four factors, and all items had an item-rest correlation value > 0.3. In the advanced validity testing stage, the results of the fit index test using CFA indicated x^2 = 818.540, df = 183, p < 0.001, CMIN/df = 4.47, RMSEA = 0.072, SRMR = 0.050, CFI = 0.926, TLI = 0.915, and NFI = 0.907. Convergent validity using General Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) and Interaction Anxiousness Scale (IAS) produced correlation coefficients of r = 0.428 and r = 0.593, while discriminant validity using Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) showed r = -0.148. Reliability testing showed a coefficient value Cronbach’s Alpha α = 0.925. The findings from this study can serve as an early detection instrument for social anxiety linked to social media.
