Abstract

Kecamatan Parongpong merupakan salah satu wilayah di Kabupaten Bandung Barat yang memiliki kerentanan tinggi terhadap bencana longsor akibat kondisi topografi yang curam dan intensitas curah hujan yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pengetahuan masyarakat dengan upaya mitigasi bencana longsor lahan di Kecamatan Parongpong. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif korelasional, banyaknya sampel yang diambil berjumlah 100 sampel yang tersebar di Kecamatan Parongpong. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada masyarakat setempat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat dengan upaya mitigasi bencana longsor. Diketahui hubungan pengetahuan masyarakat dengan upaya mitigasi bencana dengan nilai korelasi (R) sebesar 0,525. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa kriteria hubungan Pengetahuan Masyarakat dengan Upaya Mitigasi bernilai positif. Semakin tinggi pengetahuan masyarakat tentang bencana longsor, semakin baik pula upaya mitigasi yang dilakukan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan pentingnya peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat sebagai salah satu strategi dalam pengurangan risiko bencana longsor di daerah rawan bencana. Parongpong District is one of the areas in West Bandung Regency that has a high vulnerability to landslides due to steep topographic conditions and high rainfall intensity. This study aims to analyze the relationship between community knowledge and landslide disaster mitigation efforts in Parongpong District. The research method used is a quantitative method with a correlational descriptive approach, the number of samples taken amounted to 100 samples spread across Parongpong District. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to local communities. The results of the study showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between the level of public knowledge and landslide disaster mitigation efforts. It is known that the relationship between public knowledge and disaster mitigation efforts with a correlation value (R) of 0.525. This shows that the criteria for the relationship between Community Knowledge and Mitigation Efforts have a positive value. The higher the public's knowledge about landslide disasters, the better the mitigation efforts carried out. These findings indicate the importance of increasing public knowledge as one of the strategies in reducing the risk of landslides in disaster-prone areas.
