Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan manajemen risiko pasca pelatihan motivasi dalam aktivitas penjualan agen PT Volten Indonesia Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam terhadap dua informan utama, yaitu manajer cabang Bandung dan seorang agen aktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga tahapan utama dalam aktivitas penjualan agen, yaitu tahap pendaftaran dan pembelian produk, tahap penawaran kepada calon customer, serta tahap pelaksanaan penjualan produk. Pada setiap tahapan, ditemukan potensi risiko yang berbeda, mulai dari kesalahan administrasi, keterlambatan distribusi, penolakan customer, persaingan antar agen, hingga pembatalan transaksi dan kehilangan pelanggan. Risiko tersebut dapat dikategorikan ke dalam aspek operasional, sosial, dan psikologis. Temuan ini juga menegaskan adanya kesenjangan antara materi pelatihan motivasi yang berorientasi pada peningkatan semangat dengan kebutuhan agen dalam menghadapi tantangan nyata di lapangan. Oleh karena itu, penerapan manajemen risiko terbukti penting untuk menjaga kesehatan mental, integritas kerja, dan keberhasilan jangka panjang agen dalam dunia penjualan langsung. This study aims to analyze the implementation of risk management after motivation training in the sales activities of PT Volten Indonesia agents in Bandung City. A descriptive qualitative method was applied through in-depth interviews with two main informants, namely the Bandung branch manager and an active sales agent. The findings indicate three main stages in the agents’ sales activities: the registration and product purchasing stage, the offering stage to potential customers, and the product selling stage. At each stage, different potential risks were identified, including administrative errors, distribution delays, customer rejection, competition among agents, as well as transaction cancellations and customer loss. These risks can be classified into operational, social, and psychological aspects. The study also highlights a gap between motivation training materials, which are primarily oriented toward increasing enthusiasm, and the actual needs of agents in facing real challenges in the field. Therefore, risk management implementation is proven to be essential for maintaining mental health, work integrity, and the long-term success of agents in the direct selling industry.
