    ABSTRAK PENGEMBANGAN APLIKASI DELARA (DETEKSI TULISAN KE SUARA) DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENGAKSES INFORMASI TEKS AWAS BAGI PESERTA DIDIK TUNANETRA Dirham Gumawang Andipurnama Program Studi Pendidikan Khusus, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia dirhamno@upi.edu Abstrak: Tunanetra kesulitan dalam mengakses bahan ajar yang bersumber dari teks awas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan teknologi asistif berbasis aplikasi yang dapat mengakses informasi teks awas bagi peserta didik tunanetra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran dengan desain Exploratory Sequential. Fase penelitian kualitatif digunakan untuk mencari kebutuhan teknologi asistif berupa aplikasi yang memanfaatkan system kerja Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Instrumen penelitian kualitatif menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dengan melakukan triangulasi teknik dalam pengolahan data. Fase penelitian kuantitatif menguji pengaruh aplikasi Delara melalui tes dengan metode Single Subject Research (SSR) dalam tiga kondisi yaitu baseline 1 (A1), intervensi (B), dan baseline 2 (A2) terhadap subjek A peserta didik di SKHN 01 Pandeglang. Instrumen penelitian kuantitatif melakukan tes menggunakan pengolahan data berbentuk grafik. Hasil penelitian berupa prototype aplikasi Delara yang telah terbukti memberikan pengaruh dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengakses informasi teks awas secara signifikan. Aplikasi Delara memberikan kontribusi teoritis dan praktis terhadap pengembangan teknologi asistif berbasis aplikasi yang mudah digunakan, menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia, memanfaatkan akses internet, serta bisa dioperasikan pada ponsel android terbaru. This research aims to develop application-based assistive technology that can access text information for visually impaired students. This research uses a mixed-methods approach with an Exploratory Sequential design. The qualitative research phase is used to identify the needs for assistive technology in the form of applications that utilize Optical Character Recognition (OCR) systems.The qualitative research instruments use interviews, observations, and documentation by employing triangulation techniques in data processing. The quantitative research phase tests the effect of the Delara application through tests using the Single Subject Research (SSR) method in three conditions: baseline 1 (A1), intervention (B), and baseline 2 (A2) on subject A, a student participant at SKHN 01 Pandeglang. The quantitative research instrument conducts tests using data processing in the form of graphs. The research results in the form of a Delara application prototype that has been proven to significantly influence the ability to access text-based information. The Delara application makes a theoretical and practical contribution to the development of user-friendly application-based assistive technology, using the Indonesian language, leveraging internet access, and can be operated on the latest Android phones.
