Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan guna memahami sejauh mana pengaruh school well being terhadap student engagement yang dimediasi oleh self regulated learning pada siswa SMP di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena pentingnya keterlibatan siswa dalam kegiatan belajar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, menggunakan kuesioner sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data, serta menggunakan teknik analisis regresi sederhana dan regresi berganda. Sebanyak 443 siswa dari lima sekolah di Kota Bandung menjadi sampel dalam studi ini. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, ditemukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara school well being terhadap student engagement (p = 0,000), school well being terhadap self regulated learning (p = 0,000), dan self regulated learning terhadap student engagement (p = 0,000). Selain itu, hasil uji mediasi membuktikan bahwa self regulated learning secara signifikan memediasi pengaruh school well being terhadap student engagement (p = 0,000). Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa school well being berperan penting dalam meningkatkan student engagement melalui self regulated learning. This study was conducted to examine the exttent to which school well being influences student engagement, mediated by self regulated learning among junior high school students in Bandung. The research was initiated duet o the critical importance of student involvement in learning activities. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing questionnaires as the data collection instrument, and applying both simple and multiple regression analysis techniques. A total of 443 students from five schools in Bandung participated as the sample in this study. The analysis revealed a significant effect of school well being on student engagement (p = 0,000), school well being on self regulated learning (p = 0,000), and self regulated learning on student engagement (p = 0,000). Furthermore, the mediation test indicated that self regulated learning significanly mediates the influence of school well being on student engagement (p = 0,000). These findings demonstrate that school well being plays an vital role in enhancing student engagement through self regulated learning.
