Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran rinci mengenai konteks dan karakteristik shared parental responsibility pada orang tua dari remaja yang menjalani homeschooling sebagai bentuk pendidikan alternatif. Dalam pelaksanaannya, homeschooling menuntut keterlibatan aktif dari orang tua serta berbagi peran dan tanggung jawab dalam pendidikan sekaligus pengasuhan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus kolektif yang melibatkan enam orang informan yang merupakan orang tua dari remaja berusia 11 hingga 18 tahun. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam semi terstruktur dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan Deductive Qualitative Analysis (DQA) berdasarkan konsep teori shared parental responsibility dari Edward Kruk dengan aspek utama parenting plan, shared responsibility, parental equality, dan child protection. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa shared parental responsibility dalam konteks homeschooling tidak selalu dibagi dengan kaku dan terstruktur, temuan penelitian juga menunjukkan adanya harapan yang berbeda pada setiap pasangan serta respon yang dilakukan terhadap harapan tersebut yang kemudian menentukan orang tua dalam memilih metode homeschooling bagi anaknya. Selain itu, ditemukan juga peran nilai agama, budaya, dan belief system dalam membentuk pemaknaan dan pembentukan struktur shared parental responsibility di setiap keluarga informan. Penelitian ini juga memperluas pemahaman tentang shared parental responsibility dengan menunjukkan bahwa kesetaraan peran merupakan keterlibatan aktif orang tua yang disadari dan disepakati bersama. Keterbatasan penelitian ini adalah informan yang kecil, sehingga hasilnya tidak dapat digeneralisasi. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan mengeksplorasi partisipasi anak untuk melihat dinamika yang lebih komprehensif dari shared parental responsibility. Kata kunci: shared parental responsibility, homeschooling, keterlibatan aktif orang tua, harapan, hak anak, remaja This study aims to provide a detailed overview of the context and characteristics of shared parental responsibility in parents of adolescents undergoing homeschooling as a form of alternative education. In its implementation, homeschooling requires engagement from parents and sharing roles and responsibilities in education as well as parenting. This study uses a qualitative approach with a collective case study design involving six informants who are parents of adolescents aged 11 to 18 years. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews and analyzed using the Deductive Qualitative Analysis (DQA) approach based on the concept of shared parental responsibility theory from Edward Kruk with the main aspects of parenting plan, shared responsibility, parental equality, and child protection. The results of this study show that shared parental responsibility in the context of homeschooling is not always divided rigidly and structured, the findings of the study also show that there are different expectations in each couple and the response made to these expectations which then determines parents in choosing homeschooling methods for their children. In addition, the role of religious, cultural, and belief system values in shaping the meaning and formation of a shared parental responsibility structure in each informant family was also found. This research also broadens the understanding of shared parental responsibility by showing that role equality is the engagement of parents that is realized and mutually agreed. The limitation of this study is that the informants are small, so the results cannot be generalized. For further research, it is hoped to explore children's participation to see a more comprehensive dynamic of shared parental responsibility.
