    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah pengaruh kematangan emosi dan dukungan sosial terhadap penyesuaian diri pada mahasiswa Indonesia yang menempuh studi di luar negeri. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 359 mahasiswa (262 perempuan dan 97 laki-laki) yang dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitas untuk mengukur kematangan emosi, dukungan sosial, dan penyesuaian diri. Analisis hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan Generalized Linear Model (GLM) pada SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kematangan emosi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap penyesuaian diri (B = 0,487; p < 0,001), demikian pula dukungan sosial berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap penyesuaian diri (B = 0,303; p < 0,001). Selain itu, uji simultan memperlihatkan bahwa kematangan emosi dan dukungan sosial secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penyesuaian diri (χ² = 235,552; df = 2; p < 0,001). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa peningkatan kematangan emosi dan dukungan sosial dapat mendukung proses adaptasi mahasiswa Indonesia di luar negeri dalam menghadapi tantangan lintas budaya. This study aims to examine the influence of emotional maturity and social support on self-adjustment among Indonesian students studying abroad. The research sample consisted of 359 students (262 females and 97 males) selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using validated and reliable instruments measuring emotional maturity, social support, and self-adjustment. Hypothesis testing was conducted using the Generalized Linear Model (GLM) in SPSS. The results revealed that emotional maturity had a significant positive effect on self adjustment (B = 0.487; p < 0.001), and social support also showed a significant positive effect on self-adjustment (B = 0.303; p < 0.001). Furthermore, simultaneous analysis indicated that emotional maturity and social support jointly influenced self-adjustment (χ² = 235.552; df = 2; p < 0.001). These findings highlight the importance of enhancing emotional maturity and strengthening social support to facilitate the adaptation process of Indonesian students in cross-cultural contexts.
