    Abstract

    Rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dalam memahami materi pembelajaran menjadi hal yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Maka, dipilih model pembelajaran RADEC untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, sebab memiliki karakteristik dan kelebihan yang relevan. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh model pembelajaran RADEC dan pembelajaran konvensional terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa. Metode kuasi eksperimen dengan nonequivalent control group design merupakan metode dan desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Kelas V SD Negeri Paseh II dan SD Negeri Cileuksa terpilih menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan software SPSS 25 dan Microsoft Excel 2016. Rata-rata kenaikan hasil pretest kelas eksperimen sebesar 40 sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 31. Hasil uji N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen memperoleh hasil 0,71 dan pada kelas kontrol memperoleh nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,51. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran RADEC memberikan pengaruh positif yang lebih besar daripada pembelajaran konvensional. Therefore, the RADEC learning model was chosen to overcome this problem, because it has relevant characteristics and advantages. The purpose of this study is to determine the differences in the influence of the RADEC learning model and conventional learning on students' conceptual understanding ability. The quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design is the method and design used in this study. The study sample consisted of fifth-grade students from SD Negeri Paseh II and SD Negeri Cileuksa. The instruments used were observation sheets and conceptual understanding tests. The data analysis technique in this study used SPSS 25 software and Microsoft Excel 2016. The average increase in pretest results for the experimental class was 40 while the control class was 31. The N-Gain test results for the experimental class obtained a result of 0.71 and the control class obtained an N-Gain value of 0.51. Based on the results of this analysis, it can be concluded that the RADEC learning model has a greater positive influence than conventional learning.
