    Abstract

    ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ukuran perusahaan dan likuiditas terhadap profitabilitas pada perusahaan manufaktur sub-sektor makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2018-2024. Ukuran perusahaan diukur menggunakan Logaritma Natural (LN) terhadap total aset, dan likuiditas diukur menggunakan Current Ratio (CR). Teori yang digunakan adalah teori sinyal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode desktiptif dan verifikatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan metode purposive sampling dengan sampel 17 perusahaan sub-sektor makanan dan minuman. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan regresi linear multipel dan memperoleh hasil yakni ROA = -0,1134 + (0,0052)SIZE + (0,0079)CR yang berarti bahwa ukuran perusahaan dan likuiditas berpengaruh positif terhadap profitabilitas. Uji F juga menunjukkan bahwa nilai Fhitung (7,644) > Ftabel(3,08), yang artinya model regresi dapat digunakan untuk mengambil kesimpulan. Dari hasil perhitungan uji t pada masing-masing variabel ukuran perusahaan dan likuiditas diketahui bahwa ukuran perusahaan diperoleh Fhitung (1,18) ≤ Ftabel(3,08), dan likuiditas diperoleh Fhitung (3,794) > Ftabel(3,08). Berdasarkan nilai hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa ukuran perusahaan tidak berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas, dan likuiditas berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of firm size and liquidity on profitability in manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2018–2024. Firm size is measured using the natural logarithm (LN) of total assets, while liquidity is measured using the Current Ratio (CR). The research is based on signaling theory. The method used in this study is a combination of descriptive and verification methods. The sampling technique applied is purposive sampling, resulting in a sample of 17 food and beverage sub-sector companies. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, and the resulting regression model is ROA = -0.1134 + (0.0052)SIZE + (0.0079)CR, indicating that both firm size and liquidity have a positive influence on profitability. The F-test result shows that the F-statistic (7.644) > F-table (3.08), which means the regression model is statistically significant and can be used to draw conclusions. The t-test results show that firm size has a t-value of 1.18 ≤ t-table (3.08), while liquidity has a t-value of 3.794 > t-table (3.08). Based on these results, it can be concluded that firm size does not significantly affect profitability, while liquidity has a significant effect on profitability.
