Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masalah kemiskinan dan terbatasnya lapangan kerja pasca pandemi di Desa Pakutandang, Kabupaten Bandung. Program Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUBE) merupakan salah satu bentuk pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis usaha kolektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran pendamping dalam mendukung keberhasilan wirausaha ternak domba melalui lima indikator peran, yaitu sebagai fasilitator, motivator, supervisor, komunikator, dan administrator. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori pemberdayaan menurut Ife (1995) dan konsep peran pendamping dari Bina Swadaya (1999). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) sebagai fasilitator, pendamping memfasilitasi pembentukan kelompok, pengadaan bantuan, serta pelatihan teknis; (2) sebagai motivator, pendamping membangkitkan semangat melalui pendekatan kekeluargaan dan pemberian visi keberlanjutan usaha; (3) sebagai supervisor, pendamping melakukan monitoring, pembinaan, dan penyelesaian konflik; (4) sebagai komunikator, pendamping menjembatani informasi antara kelompok dan pihak eksternal secara partisipatif; dan (5) sebagai administrator, pendamping membantu pencatatan dan pelaporan kegiatan kelompok secara sistematis. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa peran pendamping sangat strategis dalam menentukan keberhasilan dan keberlanjutan program KUBE. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penyusunan modul pendampingan yang komprehensif bagi pendamping dan anggota KUBE guna meningkatkan keberlanjutan dan kemajuan program pemberdayaan. This research is motivated by the problems of poverty and limited employment opportunities after the pandemic in Pakutandang Village, Bandung Regency. The Joint Business Group (KUBE) Program is a form of community empowerment based on collective business. This study aims to determine the role of mentors in supporting the success of sheep farming entrepreneurs through five role indicators, namely as facilitators, motivators, supervisors, communicators, and administrators. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. This study uses the empowerment theory according to Ife (1995) and the concept of the role of mentors from Bina Swadaya (1999). The results show that: (1) as facilitators, mentors facilitate group formation, provision of assistance, and technical training; (2) as motivators, mentors raise enthusiasm through a family approach and provide a vision for business sustainability; (3) as supervisors, mentors monitor, foster, and resolve conflicts; (4) as communicators, mentors bridge information between the group and external parties in a participatory manner; and (5) as administrators, mentors assist in systematically recording and reporting group activities. The conclusion shows that the role of mentors is strategic in determining the success and sustainability of the KUBE program. This study recommends the development of a comprehensive mentoring module for mentors and KUBE members to improve the sustainability and progress of the empowerment program.
