Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep membandingkan bilangan pada peserta didik kelas II sekolah dasar melalui penggunaan media Drag and Drop. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain Non-equivalent Pretest-posttest group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik sekolah dasar se-Kecamatan Cihampelas, adapun sampel salam penelitian ini adalah SD Negeri Budigalih dan SD Negeri 3 Rancairung. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu instrumen tes dan nontes. Instrumen tes digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik, sedangkan angket digunakan untuk mengetahui bagaimana respons peserta didik terhadap media Drag and Drop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemahaman awal peserta didik yang menggunakan media Drag and Drop memiliki skor rata-rata 59,5, sedikit lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol yakni 58. Setelah pembelajaran, skor rata-rata kelas eksperimen naik menjadi 93,5, sedangkan skor rata-rata kelas kontrol 85,8. Peningkatan pembelajaran (N-Gain) pada kelas yang menggunakan media Drag and Drop termasuk kategori tinggi (0,84), sementara kelas kontrol termasuk dalam kategori sedang (0,66). Sebanyak 72% peserta didik merasa media Drag and Drop membantu pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Kesimpulannya, media Drag and Drop efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep membandingkan bilangan dan bisa menjadi alternatif pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif, terutama untuk peserta didik kelas rendah. Penelitian ini diharapkan jadi referensi untuk pengembangan media pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar. This study aims to improve the conceptual understanding of comparing numbers among second-grade elementary school students through the use of Drag and Drop media. The research method employed was a quasi-experimental approach with a Non-equivalent Pretest–posttest Group Design. The population consisted of elementary school students in Cihampelas District, while the sample included students from SD Negeri Budigalih and SD Negeri 3 Rancairung. The instruments used were both test and non-test instruments. The test instrument measured students’ conceptual understanding, while a questionnaire was used to assess their responses to the Drag and Drop media. The results showed that the initial average score of students using Drag and Drop media was 59.5, slightly higher than the control class, which scored 58. After the learning process, the experimental class’s average score increased to 93.5, while the control class’s average score reached 85.8. The learning improvement (N-Gain) in the class using Drag and Drop media was in the high category (0.84), whereas the control class was in the medium category (0.66). Furthermore, 72% of students felt that the Drag and Drop media helped their conceptual understanding. In conclusion, the Drag and Drop media was effective in enhancing students’ understanding of comparing numbers and can serve as an engaging and interactive alternative learning tool, especially for lower-grade students. This study is expected to serve as a reference for the development of mathematics learning media in elementary schools.
