Abstract
Penelitian ini didasari atas kebutuhan akan media yang efektif dan menyenangkan untuk membantu anak dalam mengenal ekspresi emosi. Pada anak usia 4-5 tahun, anak berada pada tahap perkembangan emosional yang penting, di mana anak mulai belajar mengenali perasaan diri sendiri maupun orang lain. Dalam pembelajaran emosi, puzzle dapat dijadikan sarana untuk mengenalkan berbagai bentuk ekspresi wajah melalui aktivitas menyusun gambar. Sehingga fokus penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media busy puzzle untuk mengenalkan ekspresi emosi anak. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Media busy puzzle yang dikembangkan merupakan kombinasi antara busy board dan puzzle, dengan potongan wajah dan elemen seperti alis, mata, dan mulut berbahan flanel yang dapat dilepas-pasang untuk membentuk berbagai ekspresi emosi dibantu dengan kartu pendukung bergambar. Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli media, ahli materi, dan pendidik untuk menilai kelayakan media. Hasil validasi yg diperoleh dari validator dan uji coba produk berdasarkan presentase masing-masing memperoleh penilaian yaitu sebesar ahli media 88,75%, ahli materi 83,75%, pendidik 95%, sedangkan uji coba lapangan terhadap anak usia 4-5 tahun menunjukkan peningkatan skor rata-rata dari pretest sebesar 80,8 menjadi 92 pada posttest. Hasil uji-T menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (< 0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan setelah menggunakan media. Dengan demikian, media busy puzzle dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai media untuk membantu anak mengenal ekspresi emosi. Hasil penelitian ini sangat direkomendasikan untuk digunakan pada konteks pengembangan media pembelajaran. Selanjutnya dalam mengenalkan ekspresi emosi khususnya pada anak usia 4-5 tahun. This research is based on the need for effective and enjoyable media to help children recognize emotional expressions. At the age of 4-5 years, children are at an important stage of emotional development, where children begin to learn to recognize their own feelings and those of others. In learning about emotions, puzzles can be used as a means to introduce various forms of facial expressions through the activity of assembling pictures. Therefore, the focus of this research is to develop busy puzzle media to introduce children's emotional expressions. This development research uses the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The busy puzzle media developed is a combination of a busy board and a puzzle, with facial pieces and elements such as eyebrows, eyes, and mouths made of flannel that can be removed and reattached to form various emotional expressions assisted by supporting picture cards. Validation was carried out by media experts, material experts, and educators to assess the feasibility of the media. The validation results obtained from the validator and product trials based on the percentage of each obtained an assessment of 88.75% for media experts, 83.75% for material experts, and 95% for educators, while field trials on children aged 4-5 years showed an increase in the average score from the pretest of 80.8 to 92 in the posttest. The T-test results showed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), which means there was a significant difference after using the media. Thus, the busy puzzle media was declared suitable for use as a medium to help children recognize emotional expressions. The results of this study are highly recommended for use in the context of developing learning media. Furthermore, in introducing emotional expressions, especially to children aged 4-5 years.
