Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan aplikasi komputer yang dapat membantu guru menilai peta konsep dengan mudah dan cepat serta berpedoman pada kritria penilaian peta konsep Novak & Gowin (1984). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development yang meliputi studi pendahuluan, perencanaan dan pengembangan, serta uji coba dan revisi. Kegiatan uji coba dilakukan secara terbatas pada materi sistem ekskresi dan sistem reproduksi manusia di lima SMA di kota Bandung. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa kelas XI. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, lembar validasi ahli dan angket. Data yang sudah dikumpulkan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil uji coba terbatas pada sejumlah guru dan siswa menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi yang dikembangkan mampu menilai peta konsep siswa dengan mudah, cepat dan benar. Aplikasi mampu menilai peta konsep jenis tidak terstruktur dan penggunaannya tidak terbatas pada bidang studi tertentu saja. Kelemahannya, gambar-gambar yang disertakan dalam panduan penggunaan terlihat kurang jelas. Selain itu, kesalahan pengetikan oleh guru atau siswa tidak dapat ditoleransi oleh aplikasi. Untuk itu, panduan penggunaan aplikasi diperbaiki dengan meningkatkan kualitas gambar. Sedangkan kesalahan pengetikan akan diperbaiki pada pengembangan yang akan datang.

This research aims to develop computer applications that can help teachers assess concept maps easily and quickly based on the criteria of assessment of concept maps Novak & Gowin (1984). The method used is the Research and Development, which includes a preliminary study, planning and development, and testing and revision. Pilot activities is limited to the material system and reproductive system of human excretion in five high schools in Bandung. The subjects were teachers and students of class XI. Collecting data through interviews, observation, expert validation sheets and questionnaires. The data has been analyzed descriptively. The test result are limited to the number of teachers and students showed that applications developed capable of assessing students' concept maps easily, quickly and correctly. The application is able to assess the types of unstructured map concept and their use is not limited to a specific field of study. The disadvantage, pictures that are included in the user's look less obvious. In addition, typing errors by the teacher or the student can not be tolerated by the application. For that, improved application user with improved image quality. While typing errors will be corrected in future development.
