    Abstract

    Fenomena penurunan hasil tangkapan lobster di alam, yang terjadi di tengah meningkatnya permintaan lobster di pasaran, mendorong pemanfaatan benih bening lobster untuk mendukung industri akuakultur. Pelabuhan Perikanan Pantai Cilauteureun merupakan pelabuhan perikanan terbesar di Kabupaten Garut, sekaligus sebagai salah satu sentra penghasil Benih Bening Lobster (BBL) di pesisir selatan Jawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas alat tangkap jaring benih bening lobster yang dioperasikan nelayan Cilauteureun berdasarkan indikator produktivitas dan pendapatan ekonomi. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei dengan pendekatan wawancara, dengan analisis CPUE dan pendapatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa efektivitas alat tangkap jaring benih bening lobster tergolong cukup tinggi. Diperoleh nilai CPUE cukup tinggi sebesar 303 ekor/trip/unit penangkapan. Dari aspek pendapatan, diperoleh hasil yang bervariasi antar unit penangkapan, dengan rata-rata pendapatan keseluruhan sebesar Rp.607.000,00 per trip. Fluktuasi hasil tangkapan berpengaruh kepada tingginya selisih pendapatan antar nelayan, beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi diantaranya cuaca, kondisi lingkungan, serta regulasi kebijakan daerah. Harga jual benih bening lobster yang rendah menjadi salah satu faktor penghambat optimalisasi pendapatan nelayan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan jaring benih dapat dikategorikan cukup efektif dan berkontribusi dalam penangkapan puerulus di Cilauteureun, namun diperlukan pengawasan dan koordinasi terkait penetapan harga jual benih di lapangan. The phenomenon of declining wild lobster catches, occurring amid the increasing market demand for lobsters, has encouraged the utilization of lobster seeds (puerulus) to support the aquaculture industry. Cilauteureun Fishing Port is the largest fishing port in Garut Regency and one of the main centers for puerulus production on the southern coast of Java. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of puerulus fishing nets operated by local fishers in Cilauteureun, based on indicators of productivity and economic income. The method used was a survey with an interview approach, followed by CPUE and income analysis. The results showed that the effectiveness of puerulus nets was relatively high. The CPUE value was recorded at 303 individuals/trip/fishing unit. In terms of income, the results varied among fishing units, with an average overall income of IDR 607,000 per trip. Fluctuations in catches affected the income disparity among fishers, influenced by factors such as weather, environmental conditions, and regional policy regulations. The low selling price of puerulus has become one of the obstacles to optimizing fishers’ income. In conclusion, the use of puerulus nets can be categorized as fairly effective and contributes to puerulus catches in Cilauteureun, yet monitoring and coordination are required regarding the determination of puerulus selling prices in the field.
