    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh fenomena FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) terhadap keputusan berkunjung pada Generasi Z dan Generasi Milenial. FOMO merupakan kondisi psikologis yang ditandai dengan perasaan takut tertinggal dari pengalaman orang lain, yang semakin relevan dalam era digital dengan tingginya penggunaan media sosial. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini melalui metode survei kuesioner online kepada 200 responden yang terdiri dari Generasi Z dan Milenial yang aktif di media sosial dan pernah mengunjungi destinasi wisata viral. Dalam penelitian ini analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji t (Independent sample t-test) dan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan tingkat FOMO dan keputusan berkunjung antara Generasi Z dan Milenial, FOMO berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan berkunjung pada Generasi Z dan Generasi Milenial, dengan pengaruh yang lebih besar pada Generasi Z. Hasil dari temuan ini menunjukkan kontribusi yang berarti dalam perancangan strategi pemasaran destinasi wisata berbasis media sosial, khususnya dalam menyesuaikan konten pemasaran sesuai dengan karakteristik generasi yang dituju. This study aims to analyze the influence of the FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) phenomenon on visit decisions among Generation Z and Millennials. FOMO is a psychological condition characterized by the fear of missing out on experiences that others are having, which has become increasingly relevant in the digital era with the widespread use of social media. A quantitative approach was employed in this research using an online questionnaire survey conducted with 200 respondents comprising Generation Z and Millennials who are active on social media and have visited viral tourist destinations. Data analysis methods utilized in this study include the independent sample t-test and simple linear regression. The results indicate that there are differences in FOMO levels and visit decisions between Generation Z and Millennials. FOMO has a significant effect on visit decisions for both generational groups, with a greater influence observed among Generation Z. These findings provide meaningful contributions to the design of social media-based tourism destination marketing strategies, particularly in tailoring marketing content according to the targeted generational characteristics.
