    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman anak usia dini terhadap langkah-langkah mitigasi bencana gempa bumi. Hal ini disebabkan karena pembelajaran yang diberikan belum melibatkan anak secara aktif dalam kegiatan yang mencerminkan kondisi nyata, sehingga anak belum mampu menunjukkan respon yang tepat saat menghadapi keadaan darurat. Metode role playing menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan anak melalui pengalaman bermain peran yang menyenangkan dan bermakna. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis & McTaggart yang terdiri atas empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, dengan analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode role playing efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mitigasi bencana pada anak usia dini. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan peningkatan persentase ketuntasan setiap siklus, yaitu pada siklus I sebanyak 18% anak berada pada kategori Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB), meningkat menjadi 64% pada siklus II, dan mencapai 91% pada siklus III. ----- This research is motivated by the low level of understanding among young children regarding earthquake disaster mitigation measures. This is because the learning provided does not actively involve children in activities that reflect real-life conditions, resulting in children being unable to demonstrate appropriate responses in emergency situations. The role-playing method is a solution to increase children's preparedness through enjoyable and meaningful role-play experiences. This study used the Kemmis & McTaggart Classroom Action Research (PTK) model, which consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used included observation, interviews, and documentation, with qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results showed that the role-playing method is effective in improving disaster mitigation skills in early childhood. This is evidenced by the increase in completion rates in each cycle: in cycle I, 18% of children were in the Very Well Developed (BSB) category, increasing to 64% in cycle II, and reaching 91% in cycle III.
