    Abstract

    Globalisasi dan teknologi digital menuntut peserta didik memiliki keterampilan abad ke-21, terutama berpikir kreatif. Pendekatan STEAM dengan mengintegrasikan lima disiplin ilmu secara kontekstual, mendorong peserta didik untuk mengeksplorasi ide dan menciptakan karya inovatif serta diyakini mampu memenuhi kebutuhan abad ke-21. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pendekatan STEAM terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik pada materi kelistrikan di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental design tipe one-group pretest-posttest. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 peserta didik kelas V SDN 2 Sumberjaya. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa 8 soal uraian yang mencakup empat indikator berpikir kreatif yaitu fluency, flexibility, originality, dan elaboration. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan keterampilan berpikir kreatif setelah diterapkan pendekatan STEAM. Nilai rata-rata pre-test peserta didik adalah 13,13, meningkat menjadi 24,10 pada post-test, dengan selisih skor sebesar 10,97 dari skor maksimal sebesar 32. Uji paired sample t-test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan. Nilai gain ternormalisasi sebesar 0,58 termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Indikator flexibility dan fluency mengalami peningkatan tertinggi. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan STEAM efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik, terutama dalam konteks pembelajaran IPA materi kelistrikan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan STEAM sebagai pendekatan inovatif yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pendidikan abad ke-21. Globalization and digital technology demand that students possess 21st-century skills, particularly creative thinking. The STEAM approach, by integrating five disciplines contextually, encourages students to explore ideas and create innovative work, and is believed to meet 21st-century needs. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of the STEAM approach on students' creative thinking skills in electrical materials in elementary schools. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method and the research design used is a Pre-Experimental design type one-group pretest-posttest. The subjects in this study were 30 fifth-grade students of SDN 2 Sumberjaya. The instrument used was 8 essay questions covering four indicators of creative thinking: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The results showed a significant increase in creative thinking skills after the STEAM approach was implemented. The average pre-test score of students was 13.13, increasing to 24.10 in the post-test, with a score difference of 10.97 from the maximum score of 32. The paired sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference. The normalized gain value of 0.58 is considered moderate. The flexibility and fluency indicators experienced the highest improvement. These results indicate that the STEAM approach is effective in developing students' creative thinking skills, particularly in the context of electricity science learning. This study recommends the implementation of STEAM as an innovative approach that meets the needs of 21st-century education.
