Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peningkatan pemahaman konsep penyajian data siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar melalui pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berbasis masalah. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Negeri di Kecamatan Tanjungjaya. Sampel terdiri dari kelas IV SDN Cirangkong 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IV SDN Cirangkong I sebagai kelas kontrol, karena keduanya memiliki jumlah siswa sesuai kriteria penelitian, yaitu minimal 30, serta dianggap representatif terhadap populasi. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas tes diagnostik, tes pemahaman konsep, dan lembar refleksi pembelajaran pada kelas eksperimen. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis melalui uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, homogenitas, paired t-test, dan perhitungan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep pada kedua kelas, (2) adanya perbedaan peningkatan pada kedua kelas, berdasarkan rata-rata N-Gain, peningkatan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,34 (kategori sedang) dan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,29 (kategori rendah), (3) tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berbasis masalah secara umum positif, menunjukkan bahwa siswa memberikan respon sangat baik. This study aimsed to see an increase in the understanding of the concept of data presentation of grade IV elementary school students through problem-based differentiated learning. The study used a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research population is all fourth grade students of State Elementary School in Tanjungjaya District. The sample consisted of grade IV of SDN Cirangkong 2 as an experimental class and grade IV of SDN Cirangkong I as a control class, because both had the number of students according to the research criteria, which was at least 30, and were considered representative of the population. The research instruments consisted of diagnostic tests, concept comprehension tests, and learning reflection sheets in experimental classes. The data obtained were analyzed through validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity, paired t-test, and N-Gain calculation tests. The results showed: (1) there was an increase in conceptual understanding in both classes, (2) there was a difference in increase in both classes, based on the average N-Gain, an increase in the experimental class of 0.34 (medium category) and in the control class of 0.29 (low category), (3) students' responses to problem-based differentiated learning were generally positive, showing that students responded very well.
